Thanks john, Ive fished both the main res and wick lane a few times but mainly for roach, perch etc.. I believe someone had 3 carp out of wick lane last month but i wasnt aware they moved them into the main res. Is it worth fishing the main res for carp? and are the tench in the main res or wick lane? cheers, matt

I was wondering if anyone fishes for carp at Ardleigh reservoir, Wick lane lake? Ive been a few times but only caught bream, does anyone have any tips for catching the carp? What the best bait is, best swim etc... Any advice is appreciated

Thanks john, Bures is close to me so if it fishes well ill think of joining Colne just because its cheaper, and work the stretch of river. I've been fishing for around 3-4 years now and mainly go for carp, perch, roach, bream etc... trying different methods. Im very interested in going for pike this autumn/winter, Is the Bures stretch good for pike? or are other stretches better for pike? what Species do you go for? again thanks for the help!

Ive recently taking up fly fishing, i bought a Ron Thompson evo concept fly rod for £10 from go outdoors and a shakespear reel for £15. good value for money if you ask me, defintly worth buying from go outdoors if you have the discount card. Being a begginer myself spending £25 on fly gear isnt too bad! matt.

hi, Im looking to do some river fishing along the River Stour, can anyone recommend some good stretches of the river that are either free or day tickets? Wanna fish mainly for pike and perch but happy to fish Where ever the fishing is good! i have heard the fishing is almost dead on the Stour, Ive also heard that the Bures stretch is suppose to be fishing well,which is good for me as in=ts only 15 mins away, are either true? If anyone can help itll be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Im 17, been fishing for around 3-4 years now, mainly catch carp but love catching any fish! looking to get into trout fishing using spinners and lures, can anyone recoomend any good spining rods/reels for under £25? Also some good spinners/lures? any help or advice is greatly appreciated! Cheers!
