  1. Has any body used one or got one. can't find any reviews or past forum posts about it. Whats it like? What situations/species would it be used for? I have been offered one at a bargain price. Thanks for all your help

  3. Hi everyone, I am looking to add a new float rod to my gear. I will be using it for float fishing light floats not at any grest distance for tench thats what I want it for but I obvioulys might hook the odd silverfish, crucian, bream or the odd carp max size 10lb in the prosses but 90% of the fish I catch on the venue are tench. I rarly fish comercials for carp maybe a few times a year so I wouldnt wont to buy a comercial rod but I am looking for a rod that will work well for tench fishing but you could get away with using it on a comercial for carp if need be. Now I am torn between the drennan tench rod mkIV 13ft and the drennan power float 13ft. Any opinions would be great thanks for your help.
  4. After reaserching the ea bylaws for my area I am perfectly intitled to fish for salmon and sea trout with worm or spinner between 15 june - 15 september. I am not worryed about being frowned apon if I have a more affective method then they are obviously using the wrong tactics, its what you call being a smart angler. If you fish on a pond for carp and you have a fav rig and tactic that you know will work and catch you a bag of fish on that venue but you know another method wich is slower and you know its not as effective which method would you opt for.
  5. Hi, I am lucky enough to live in area with an abundance of rivers and streams within short distances from my home, I course fish mainly but I love most types of fishing I go sea fishing occasionaly but I have never been keen on fly fishing, when I fish the rivers in my area I use a rolling ledger with worm for the trout they cannot resisit it, but there is a river near me that contains salmon and sea trout with some free fishing areas so if I had this rod licence: migatory Salmon and migratory (sea) trout and non-migratory trout, char, freshwater (coarse) fish, smelt and eels. would I be able to fish for salmon and sea trout with ledger and free roaming tactics general courde tactics. Tanks for you help
  6. Hi, I am thinking about buying a Drennan Series 7 13" Tench & Specmin float rod, in my local water theres a good head of tench and they are allways my main target species but there are also a fair number of carp and you will useually hook one during a early morning tench fishing session they average around 4lb but grow up to 10lb+ does any one know if this rod will handle the slightly larger carp? say carp from 4lb to 10lb Thanks for all your help
