  1. Hi im new to coarse fishing, been learning the ropes about a month now. when I started I used a real light spinning rod which was obviously not great but done me for 2 sessions to get me hooked I then got a cheapy taktix 10ft carp picker which is my first coarse rod. However I'm looking at broadening my horizons and venues where carp run from mainly 5lb up into the high teens and looking at getting a more Versatile rod but I can still have fun with on my club lake which mainly has carp between 2lb - 5lb with tench bream and chub in the same range. Like the look of the drennan 7 series after a bit research, however I'm wondering which one and if there are other runners or better 2nd hand models. I'm doing mainly method feeding at the moment. I have £50 to spend look forward to your replys, thanks in advance.

  3. Hi Newt I'm from County Durham. I have joined a club with a small lake/ pond which is ideal for me learning on. Has carp in upto 15lb I'm told. Really I'm looking at targeting carp, chub, bream tench etc not to into silver fishing though I'm not knocking it and will no doubt have a dabble next summer when the suns out.
  4. Hi guys and gals, new to coarse fishing. Have mainly done sea fishing and river fishing for trout. Tight lines
