  1. For some reason I find a centrepin with a ball race works better when water gets inside the reel, some thing like the okuma range. But for almost all my trotting I use a true pin reel ,match aerial or a trudex, speedia. Its a personal thing but I find i get more control with a true pin reel .
  2. The AN pin is sold on the back plate, its the spool which is open Gozzer.
  3. Well its not the reel m8. The one I have(anglersnet) trotts a 2no4 stick float with ease in a very light flow.
  4. Selling my Okuma Aventa pro centrepin, reel is in very good condition £60 Pm for details
  5. Yes tigger i agree wind is always a problem with centrepins. But the type of conditions i am discussing is very low flow when you literally have to feed line of the pin with the left hand if you have no guard fitted it finds itself around the foot. At least it does for me that is
  6. If you are wallis casting with big floats in a fast current you will never need a line guard. However if your trotting light stick floats in low flow conditions a line guard combined with the loop cast does prevent the line going round the back of the reel foot.
  7. Still looking if anyone has one for sale Thanks
  8. I looking for an Allcocks Match Aerial, cash waiting.
  9. My JW travel has taken 100 of chub and the odd barbel. And its the Masterline one, never had any problem and I regard it as one of the best items I have purchased in nr 40 years of angling. I also have the standard Rovex JW again a cracking rod.
