  1. I'm not sure. It might be worth finding a local hotspot and see if clicking the icon will pick up a signal. Looking at the pdf it says that if one or more broadcast networks are in range the network indicator icon will appear. I bet you have to be in range of one for it to work. If it has a wireless icon it may just be wireless capable. (added) Was replying when you edited. Good on ya. Still worth a try no?
  2. Hi Chesters- Bluetooth and wireless b, g and n use the same band 2.4gHz but use a different signalling method. I think this means that you can't walk into an openzone and use bluetooth, but then I don't use BT so I don't know if they even have it. If BT is like most other places they will be using wireless b, or g. Just looked at the other link you posted (the PDF) it looks like you have both. Which means you can connect anywhere. (even your neighbors) Don't log into your bank or anywhere else you consider personal while using openzone.
  3. Sorry Glenn, I would but I get this error: An Error Has Occurred! Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum! Sorry The Forum Software does not allow you to register with free email addresses I used my googlemail address first then tried my aol address I can't get past the register link.
  4. Hi Dizzyfish- I forgot to post theirs as well thanks for that. That was where I found their link on the Whitby site. I went to Robin Hoods and Go2H2o this afternoon. The guy at Robinhoods asked me over the phone if I had looked at the Trident. I hadn't but I am glad that I had a look at their demo. It was way too big for what I want. Absolutely massive in size up close to it. I guess you can't appreciate the sheer size from a catalog. Anyway I went to Go2H2o down the road from me and they can get me a prowler 13 in yellow, by the end of next week. They will also be stocking a few in the next couple of months. This link also helped to make up my mind. (Thanks Mark Crame) http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/review-....html&st=20 Thanks
  5. Its must be my lively personality
  6. Hi Guys, I have resolved to buy a SOT this weekend. I'm looking for a Prowler 13. I have found a few websites that service Yorkshire, the East Coast and of course Scotland. My list now consists of: http://www.go2h2o.co.uk/ Based about 10 miles from me. http://www.roho.co.uk/acatalog/Robin_Hood_...Kayaks_968.html In Leeds about 30 miles http://www.fishingmegastore.com/cgi-bin/sh...l%23a5766#a5766 190 miles away. These were all found basically word of mouth on anglers afloat and here. And anywhere from 475 to 560. There has to be other small shops without websites that are out there. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  7. Thanks Si..., I have heard great things about them but my experience so far is lacking a bit. I bought one of their packages on the 27th. (the $7.95 per month one). No access through the week after. Then I noticed a credit from hostagtor to my account for the same amount I paid out. No email to say why. I then sent an enquiry... No answer. I then contacted their web based support. They had me send a request again with a 'ticket number'. I'm still waiting.
  8. So the EA doesn't mandate how or why stocked fish should be tracked? It is up to individual clubs? Strange that they show so much more interest in the progression of signal crayfish... Section 30 permits- oh my head hurts! No offense Lutra
  9. I can't imagine better sport than going after grayling and wild trout on light tackle. I haven't heard of any stocked fish being put into my local river in the past few years. They usually send out a letter once a year detailing events. If there is a flood within a few weeks of the stock going in, I think they get washed out. So now the rivers are all flooded out here and I won't be able to get out for another week!!
  10. Thanks Anderoo. It is fairly common in the USA to trim the adipose. I did some reading after I posted and found that it isn't every stocked fish but a percentage. I also seem to remember reading somewhere that stocked fish were also sterilized. It seems beside the point and someone more knowledgable than I would be able to track the information, ie mortality and how they fair once released. It would be interesting (at least to me) It doesn't sound like the stocked fish you describe fair very well once released. I know what you mean about catching them on light tackle. I fish a small private river with a nice head of grayling and wild brownies to 3 pounds on a 7' 3 wt! Absolutely brilliant!
  11. You could always replace your bear skin rug.... That thing is huge! Anyone going to check snopes?
  12. I've just been on the Whitby Angling site and wanted to reply to a question but was promptly banned while trying to register. (for using free email) The post was about wild brown trout. What I was wanting to post was a question about how do you tell the difference between a wild fish and stocked fish? Is it not common practice here to trim the adipose fin prior to releasing stocked fish? In the USA it would apply to any trout/salmon (depending where you are). Just curious.
  13. Good Chris, Don't forget to turn off your SSID after you lock in your mac addresses.
  14. Hi Chris- You should be able to use your browser to web into your access point on any computer. It should prompt for a password and username. You'll probably have the same issue with the key though. What is the make and model of your access point? If you can log into the access point just change the key to whatever you like- then go to each pc and put your new key in. If you can't remember the key you may have to reset it to factory then start again. The key may appear different but could very well be the same depending on the encryption method.
  15. Make sure the sender ticks the 'gift' box at the bottom of the customs form.
  16. Haven't seen him on here in a long time. Last post was 9 Jan 2008.
  17. Hi Norrie, My Uncle and Grandfather had a boat out of Newport that they used to run for salmon until people realized the need for strict conservation. Now my Uncle goes out for tuna during the summer. Only went a few times as a teenager but remember it well. Caught my first coho on it. The boat was called Johnnys Paycheck.. I made that drive myself past Mt. Shasta amazing views! I was on anglers afloat and looking at the pictures of the skate. Lucky he had you around.. I'll read the thread later tonight. I also looked at the Whitby site. They start at 569 pounds. The 13 and 15 are the same price. The Ocean Kayak site had quite a few reviews as well. Snather, I think you have that list in the wrong order.. It should be Party, Sex, Work, Marriage, Kids, and Fishing in between each. Priorities you know.. I've got the twins now so all I have left is fishing and time to teach. Jan V- This is the 6th year in a row I have missed the Super Bowl. Oops how Un-American could I be? I can't miss any sleep cause I can't ever get it back!! Chevin- The only way you would have found that fire department site is if you actually searched snopes to see if there really was a Boring Oregon!!! (Note) Had to remove some emoticons.. No offense.
  18. I know where I would rather be.. Fishing. I'm actually considering a fishing kayak. So just researching the expense and what else I might have to buy. Anyone wanting to rid themselves of a prowler? Norrie, I grew up there so I know exactly what you mean only I was in the eastern (high desert) part. If you ever get the chance to visit Crater, and Diamond Lakes do so. They are only about 14 miles apart but well worth it. The trout are to die for. If I only knew how to fly fish then. FB, Paint drying isn't soo terribly bad. BTDT
  19. Excellent thanks for the link! I like the look of the prowlers myself, but I'm torn between the 13 and elite. I'm still waiting on an answer for the domain and I think you are correct about the security.
  20. Hi Glenn, I'm looking into photobucket. I'm not too sure about the security of sites like them and youtube. I know you can apply passwords and share them out to friends and family. These days you can't be too careful. I now have a domain at hostgator but there seems to be an issue. They gave me my money back and I still don't have access- dns doesn't resolve yet either. I'll figure it out in the end. On another note- Is that your kayak? I'm thinking about getting one. Kicking myself as someone posted theirs to be sold in November and I should have jumped on it. Cheers
  21. So whats yours? Youtube Video ->Original Video
  22. Received with Thanks Elton! Good quality stuff.
  23. The C-5 pushed back from the gate, the flight attendant gave the G.I.s the usual information regarding seat belts, parachutes, etc. Finally, she said, "Now sit back and enjoy your trip while your captain, Judith Campbell, and crew take you safely to Afghanistan.." An old M/Sgt. sitting in the eighth row thought to himself, "Did I hear her right? Is the captain a woman?" When the attendant came by he said "Did I understand you right? Is the captain a woman?" "Yes," said the Attendant, "In fact, this entire crew is female." "My God," he said, "I wish I had two double scotch and sodas. I don't know what to think with only women up there in the cockpit." "That's another thing Sarge," said the attendant, "We No Longer Call It The Cock Pit." "It's The Box Office"
