  1. In the last 3 years i have never had my licence checked ..... Is it worth buying one My answer is YES .... i would rather have one than get a £1000 fine for the sake of the cost of a licence and trip to the post office. I also agree that the people who own or run fisheries should ask for your licence they are quick enough to relieve you of your money to fish there..... maybe there could be some way that they could also benefit from the revenue that is collected ...... or even some of the money the angler is fined could go towards them, im sure if they had an incentive to check they would soon comform.....
  2. Hi all im looking for new venues to fish this season any information would be helpful ..... baits , tactics etc ..... and if venue is suitable for both rod and pole fishing .... and the cost of a day ticket would be helpful as well many thanks

  5. after being a chef for ten years i the thing i most hate about the festive season is BLOODY TURKEY ...... the only bird i want to see in my abode is our lass trusted to the kitchen.....
  6. i subscribe to Improve your course fishing and receive it through the post monthly........ the test section is handy for new purchases ..... and where to fish section is good ..... all round not a bad mag
  7. Rudolf say's to Santa....... Listen Fella im not being funny ... but as you only work one day of the year why the hell do i have to come fishing with you in the middle of winter.... my bloody antlers are freezing and my baubles are dropping off.
  8. I agree with you, not so long ago i posted the same request. How about adding one to this site ?
  9. I recently purchase a Shakespear Carp Rod (contender) for less than £50. Altought i have not used it as yet im sure it will cope with double figure carp. Remember its not just about the rod but the way you play them. if you give the rod too mush to do it may let you down. I got mine from Kirkgate Anglers in Leeds.
  10. Has Chester1 ever thought of becoming a comedian.... he has me in stitches most of the time with his wacky replies to most subjects..
  11. whoops its http://www.ebay.co.uk go to fishing section under the sport heading
  12. Only just coming back to our great sport i had not heard of this product before, however i was just on www.ebay.com where i did notice this product for sale ..... might be worth a look bob
  13. There is beginners luck but i also believe that you can either be a natural talent or that you can become better just through the learning process (watching others , reading up or through experience or learning by your mistakes. Even just by trying something different). what ever is your angle just keep at it. some you win some you lose, remember you can not win everytime. thats my thoughts anyway ...... tight lines BOB
  14. i cant see it ever changing ... there will always be those who really dont give a damn. early this year i was fishing the Leeds/liverpool canal when some youngster started fishing near me, they had all the wrong kit 12lb line No10 hooks etc, i helped them out with lighter line smaller hooks etc as they packed up to leave there was loads of empty crisp packs etc so i asked them to take it with them and put it in the bin which they did... they also took my Zippo lighter. So although i didnt mind helping out it cost me at the end of the day. thats life !!
  15. i tend to wash my nets out in the bath. i leave them to soak for 10/20 mins. then i put fresh water in with a little bit of smelly detegeant give them a good rub then hoze them down with the shower head shake them outside then hang them....
