4lb line i take is what your on about,if so then that would be ok on the canals,it is a bit light for fish of 15lb i might add but ok for 10lb tops,a lot depends on how you play the fish and snags,you will not be able to put that much preasure on the line if you got a 10lb fish on,personaly i would up my line to 6lb if fish are of the weight you say.

I long stopped buying the AT because of the endless adverts plus the ''plugging'' of Steve Ringers best baits and tips,not to mention a host of other so called top Anglers showing off their products,it became so boring to read,this was when it was a paper not a mag but looking at it i see no difference at all in the way it has gone and to copy the AM is so wrong,whats wrong in trying something new for once. In all honesty i know Advertiseing pays the bills but to have so much is a joke,surely we all want to see some good reports from people who have nothing to gain,unlike the ones i have mentioned,the ordinary Angler,the Joe Doe of the banks who just happens to be like so many others and that is normal and not a ''Angling God'' and why so much on Carp these days?..every other page is about Carp fishing and there must be two thousand plus top carp Anglers if you read what is said,it is a joke how fishing has become,many waters are so easy to fish and catch on that even i could catch a good carp and thats saying something yet those who do catch not one but ten in one day make out they are god's,that picture of those three muppets in the water with that pot belly Carp says it all,lets all get in on the act,next time anyone catches a good size Gudgeon,lets see four Izzack Waltons jumpping in the water saying''yes it takes me back'' and giveing it a kiss before the Jack Russle eats it''by mistake'' it would make a good read at least....i must clean off my Creel so i can join in though.

You can't sack players for not playing well or doing their job right because football is a team effort,we let in a soft goal so sack the goalkeeper,we don't score so sack the strikers,before long we would not have a team to field if that was the case...look at Spain they went out as well and played rubbish,ok so it was against Italy but it is the same thing. Football teams are put together by a coach/manager,if they do not perform right then he has to take the blame for not getting the tactics right,how many changes did he make?..every game he made changes in the Iceland game he made 6 and went back to Kane/Sterling the very players he took off at half time the match before and said they had had their chance and blown it,so he picks them again,who is to blame for that one..Hodgson played all the wrong tactics and we payed for it,Rooney had a bad Euro,he looked shot to me and if that is the best he can do now he needs dropping,he is not a striker anymore but a playmaker a bit like Gerrard was but Rooney was out of form and should not have started,letting Kane take all the free kicks as well was a no go,he is young and so much is being put on him at this stage and it showed,he was not the player we know,Vardy should have started instead,he looked eager to do well and ran all the time but he was not used the way he should have been,all these things add up to one thing,the manager got it wrong by playing players out of form and why Hart kept his place in goal i never know after the Bale free kick,he looked nervous and again he made a mistake from a shot he had covered,too late now but he should have been dropped..don't blame the players blame the team for going into this game in such poor condition mentally and only one man can be blamed for that and that is HODGSON.....don't worry though because we got Southgate to fall back on

Just answered the other post on here on the same subject..i use both Dinsmore and Anchor but prefer Anchor Double cut,i don't have any problems with either.

To be honest i use Dinsmore or Anchor,i have no problems with any,there cheap as well.

The Seeds attatch themself to Waterfowl so that is how they might have got in the water to start with,they can be kept in control by cutting back each year,it is the seed pods you need to keep a eye on,use nets and gather in the Lilies,they do not harm the water if kept in check,in fact they can give the water some cover and the fish shade in warmer weather so they are not that bad but you have to keep them in check or they will cover the whole pool,cutting and using nets is the answer,the nets will catch the seed pods stopping the spread or at least slowing it down...do this every year and it will be fine.

Love Crucian carp,one of my fav fish to go for but not easy to find these days,some nice ones there,makes a change from the normal run of the mill carp all the time,some have forgotten how to fish for these now.

Thank you Ayjay..yes i am a Grumpy old fart in my ways,been around too long to change now,i respect everyones opinions provided they are not insults and i am all for the moderaters doing there jobs,i moderate and administrate on a few so know that the job is not easy and you get very little thanks in doing it......wish the posts would not need approval all the time though but i understand why
