  1. Sad news My very best wishes to you and your family Owen.
  2. Tell everyone to enjoy Christmas and New Year. But on the 1st January lock down the entire country including ports and airports apart from emergency services, postal workers and medical and care staff for a strict 2 weeks. No one is to leave their homes and anyone who does get caught out and about is fined £1k and taken to a detention centre for 2 weeks. There is around 28 million households in the UK. To save messing about, and using the council tax register, give each household regardless £1k compensation for staying home for 2 weeks. You have to the end of the year to sort out your supplies for the 2 week lockdown. Prescriptions will be delivered if needed, and basic food parcels for the idiots who don't prepare. After 2 weeks the country should be all but free of covid. Total cost around £28 billion rather than the hundreds of billions we've already spent, plus any savings made to the NHS. Taadaa!

    Phone?

I've not heard a thing. I sincerely hope he's ok, but I fear the worst as he wasn't too well.
  4. Come on Ken, surely you know that only "white" folk can be racists.
  5. Former television football commentator Gerald Sinstadt, 91
  6. Just finished another excellent book - Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham. If you found the recent mini series fabulous viewing as I did, then i'd recommend this book as a riveting read that goes in to more detail.
  7. I've been thinking, now that I am out of contract with my energy supplier, what if I just phone them to cancel my direct debit and tell that i'm leaving for another supplier but don't actually get another supplier. Would someone turn up at my home and actually turn my gas and electricity supply off?
  8. I hadn't, but I have now. Cheers for that Ken, I enjoyed that, although I don't think he can count the one he lost. I'd not heard of him before.....I've subscribed to his channel.
  9. Robert Fyfe: Last of the Summer Wine actor 90
  10. I haven't Ken, it's been a hectic year. Fingers crossed i'll be able to get back in to it early next spring, and double fingers crossed, the stocks have started to recover.
  11. The trouble is that if aliens landed in my garden I still couldn't be 100% it wasn't a hallucination.
  12. I read lots, most of my spare time is spent reading, either a book or online. I'll let you in to a little secret, a taboo subject. But what the hell, I class you as an online friend Dave, albeit a tad quirky friend. But that's a good thing. I have schizophrenia, was diagnosed with it in my early 20's, but from what i've learnt over the last 30yrs i'd say I started showing signs of it around the age of 10/11. What helps me personally, better than any medication, is to immerse myself in a good book and block out what's going on around me. So that's why I read books, lots of books. lol
  13. I've just finished Ross Coulthart's book "In Plain Sight". Now I wouldn't say i'm a 100% believer of UFO's/UAP'S/Alien Visitations, rather I believe in the possibility and have had a keen interest in the subject since reading my fathers books on the subject in my early teens. I've read countless books, some credible and some that make you come away thinking the author is just a delusional krank. Anyone who has a smidgen of interest in this subject should read this Ross Coulthart's book, it jumps right to the top of my list of credible and astonishing reads, it really is a game changer on the subject in my view. Yes I'm still not a 100% believer, and doubt I will be unless it is officially acknowledged with irrefutable evidence, but i'm now 99.9% sure this is real. Amazing book!
  14. Ed Asner: Lou Grant and Up actor aged 91
  15. Basically just because it features Susanna Hoffs.
  16. One can even imagine that coming directly from her mouth.
  17. I remember reading about a South African scientist who's aim was to create a racial bioweapon, I think it was around the late 70's to the early 90's, but could be wrong. He was on the watch list of the CIA, MI6 and Mossad amongst others. A bonafide mad scientist who was allegedly funded by the Chinese and North Korea.
  18. A couple of names have popped up, but just rumours and nothing definite that i'm seeing.
