  1. You could always emmigrate to France. Vasectomy is illegal in France. [ 16. July 2003, 01:16 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  2. This is youir opinion, to which you are entitled but it is not what current UK Law permits. Criminal Law Act, 1967, which states: (1) A person may use such force as is reasonable in the circumstances in the prevention of crime, or in effecting or assisting in the lawful arrest of offenders or suspected offenders or of persons unlawfully at large. What you seem to be asking for is that the law should allow you to murder someone who breaks into your house.
  3. quote: Sorry corydoras, but electric they aren't. They are powered by a 3-cylinder petrol suprex turbo engine of 698 cc with charge cooling, which produces either 50bhp or 61bhp. Ah well one lives and learns. I had always thought they were electric.
  4. Well I have seen two others around here and they are both manned by blokes. I will be watching this one and I will let you know.
  5. Hi Newt Nice idea but I am not sure if it would work with one of these horrible little things. They are electric and the battery would probably be flat before it had managed to get through the melon skins.
  6. Just out of curiosity what is the average age of Anglersnet posters? This is not a troll, nor do I mean to be impolite or to offend but neither am I a diplomat. There are times when I feel as if I am surrounded by a bunch of Daily Mail reading malcontents who all harken back to some 1950's golden era of Britain that never really existed. No doubt you all work for and hope that the up and coming generations have a better life than the one that you have had, so why are some of you so jeleaous when they get it? Mobile phones are not the cause of bullying and if kids want to make malicious false calls to the emergency services then there are always public call boxes. Most of you make yourselves sound as if you had fought through the last World War. Some of you might but you would have to be at least 80 to have fought through the whole war. Even if you were born on VJ Day you would be coming up to 58. By the way I am a staggeringly young 43, born on 30/04/1960 the 15th anniversary of the alleged suicide of Adolph Hitler. [ 15. 7. IF they can. IF being the operative. There is no research at the moment that shows that they can. Nor is there any research that shows that they cannot. Any of you who served in the Royal Navy or Merchant Navy (like me) were subjected to MUCH more microwave radiation from RADAR scanners than you would ever get from a mobile phone. [ 15. 8. These notices are legally called 'disclaimer notices'. The important thing to remember about a disclaimer is that one cannot protect oneself from a charge of negligence by putting up a disclaimer notice. So in the car park situation one could not sue the owner of the car park if your car was damaged by say another car reversing into you, but you may be able to sue if you could show that some damage had ben caused by the negligence of the owner or of one of his employees or agents. As to the Tony Martin case you have to remember why his claim of self-defense failed. For a plead of self-defence to be successful you have to show 'reasonable force'. Mr Martin shot a burgler in the back, while the man was running away, and so Martin could not rely on self-defense because reasonable force was not used.
  9. Could not resist snapping this little piccie in the office car park earlier today. Now I thought that the only reason for owning one of these little horrors was that they took up less space in the car park. The bike was not even there when this joker abondoned his or perhaps her car this morning.
  10. Went out on Sunday and had a new PB. A thin-lipped grey of 4lb 2oz. No piccies this time as the digital camera was inadvertantly left out of the tackle beg (I forgot it )
  11. Try removing any proxy servers that you have set up in Internet Explorer.
  12. Why is it that we nearly always have to disagree? Personally I could'nt care less if you were to quaff the stuff by the pint, but you have got no right to go spraying it into the envoronment. We all live there not just you. And BTW all the chemicals you are talking about are extremely toxic to fish!
  13. I don't think this is Yoxer re-born. Despite all of poor old Yoxer's failings I think he has more intelligence than this geezer
  14. USB card reader found, so here is a pic.
  15. Yeah sure. Anglers never use totally artificial baits. You would never sell stuff like plastic worms, rubber swwetcorn, rubber eels, flys made out of feathers, brass lures, plastic worms, etc, etc. Strawberry and chocolate muffin flavoured boilies don't exactly grow on trees now do they? All the ingredients in commercial play-doh are food grade and non toxic. Home made play doh is basically flour, salt, cream of tartar and vegetable oil.
  16. Cheers mate. I will investigate later tonight when I get back to the hotel.
  17. Thats what I thought too. I used to have a GS bitch and she was quite a big dog but no way was she anywhere near 250lbs (that's nearly 18 stone) I know this because I taught her to 'jump up for a carry' when taking her on the escalators down to the Clockwork Orange when I lived in Glasgow. 18. But do I need a permit or is it free?
  19. This bit of canal I can see from my hotel window comes off the Trent and runs parallel with London Road (A60?) for a bit then it bends round towards the train station and runs between Canal Street and Station Street. The Premier Lodge is just on this bend in the canal. I can see the bit I want to fish from from my hotel window I just need to know if I need a ticket. [ 01.
