Alright everyone, got a stupid question regarding fishing licence, when you buy a fishing licence, is that for public places like the local rivers etc, do you still need to buy one if you go to a lake, or is that why lakes charge alot more money? I've always brought one, even though I mainly go to lakes now, and I was just wondering if you still need to buy one, even for the lakes

ALSO WHEN FISHING WITH TWO RODS, YOU HAVE NO BITES BUT THE FISH DECIDE TO BITE AT THE SAME TIME, WHICH NORMALLY (FOR ME) ENDS IN LOOSING BOTH

Thanks, coz ive never used paste, do you think the same method would work well with maggot and chopped worm. would the loose pellets, make it harder for me to catch i.e. would all the small stuff be now full up to take my bait. i no this may seem stupid question, just ive never really gone specifically after the slightly bigger fish, ive just fished to catch anything thanks again for replying

Thanks, as you know about this lake, could you answer a couple of extra questions? Ive been told not to use groundbait at Lake John, however, when i went there once this bloke was cupping it in, and said its ok to use it only if its cupped in or used in a feeder, is this correct? Also how would i target the slightly bigger fish around the pound and a half to 3 pound mark on a pole, i usually use poll about 6metres out and catch absolutely loads (well for me) normally get at least 70. however theyre basically all small stuff, which i normally like, but it would be nice to catch something bigger on my pole. Thanks again for your help

Through and through, if no one has ever been to either of the two lakes, does anyone have any favourite fisheries around the area (london, Hertfordshire etc) Thanks again

Hello everyone, Has anyone fished Lake John or Magic Lakes near Waltham abbey? Havent been fishing for quite a while and was wondering if anyone knows which one is better at the moment. Also if anyone has fished Lake John and tried the bottom lake did you find it better than the top or is it roughly the same? Lastly, if no one has fished these two lakes, do you know of any good ones around the area? Thanks in advance
