  1. Ask your wife Si,as she seems to have done a good job of getting the paint off of her face in the photo you sent me!
  2. My point is that I don't want to be an "ultimate loser". I want to be the top predator over nice friendly little fishies. You strong brave macho types ,"guys" should stop trying to dominate fishing and give the more sensitive sensible angler a chance. Anyway, I don't think you've ever seen a fishy in real life or you'd be up there trying to catch a bit of "Ruffe" or "b ass".
  3. Sorry I'm greedy, I like a stock excess in the gentler species lik myself. Turn your facination to the grey squirrel and the decline of the song bird population and how many indigenous fish species don't grow to 10oz.
  4. Tell that to the blue whale.
  5. I thought that I could smell something Melvin, now that you say trap I see the reason for the restrictions. Sorry if I've upset the "Guy" set, but they usually are gentle with me, as bashing means something else where I come from and I'm well educated toward that end. I'll get me coat. Wesley.
  6. Go on, Tell us how to catch 'em then, and get around the no live bait, no artificial lure and no night fishing on these waters.
  7. I don't believe it! I've caught a 7inch baby zander on No2 pond of the Attenborough nature reserve Nottingham. Now I know why the fishing is so poor, especially if predators like these are now breeding in that water. What thoughts for the future, anyone?.
  8. On recently visiting my local Carp pond I noticed a large number of dead Roach and small Bream without apparent disease or injury. After walking round for a bit I discovered a few "anglers" with brimming keep nets, one boasting the proud catch of 20lb of fish including a 5lb common carp.A pond with no flow, on a warm day, a 12ft legal net with just 3ft in the 2ft shallows. I'm not very big, I'm disabled and I got pushed around a bit, but I shure spoiled his day.Can we as a fair sport do something about catch and release on still ponds "keepnet ban" for i've just found out that my local "Angling association" are to hold "Matches" (presumably who can be most cruel to fish trophy cup)on this particular venue.
  9. Sorry, I didn't mean to bring out the girlies who don't eat fish, but just enjoy feeling a throbbing rod in their hands. Must addmit, I want my cake and like to eat it.
  10. Ya can't go fishing in Notts these days without Esox spoiling the fun. There seems to be an epidemic of Pike in all nottingham waters at the moment. Double figures every day for the last 16 days on the run. Get out on the Trent and Beeston gravels with your favourite baits, you can't miss the Pike season, it's a must.Get rid of all these nasty beasties and lets get back to friendly tiddler fishing. Not.
