When I was in school I had a gym teacher who owned a huge wooden paddle with holes drilled in it, and he often opened a can of whup-ass on unfortunate wrongdoers that he caught. The threat of that paddle kept me in line, especially after seeing the outline of that paddle on the arses of others. Was it wrong? I think not. He wanted discipline and respect, and he got it, even if he was a sadistic SOB. I knew not to get caught, anyhow!
