Love it....The famous "Fallas" fiestas start in a day or so and finish on the 19th of March when all the paper figures go up in smoke. The "mascleta" displays like that one you feel through your stomach rather than hear. One pregnant woman this week had to be rushed to hospital after her "waters" broke at the end of the display when it is strongest..

I have seen that address used before in these type of letters. We have a unit of National police that specialise in these frauds, i am able to pass it to them.

Sounds awful. Sorry to hear about your loss...But with something this urgent surely a lawyer should be the first call? Good luck with what seems a nightmare situation.

Loved the way they cant even get the "based in Spain" bit correct... Although the letter was posted in the UK, it was probably put together in Madrid. There have been a number of arrests there for lottery scams recently. Was there anything to indicate it came from Spain? How where you supposed to claim? If you want to put details up or PM me, i will make sure that the relevant authorities get the information here if there is any connection.

Cheers Steve. The seasons are definitily changing in "real terms" if you know what i mean. The effects on crops can be devastating when a late frost damages blossom for example. In yesterdays paper here was the news that up to 30% of this almond crop will be lost in some areas as the frosts of this week have killed the tiny fruit that formed earlier than they should the first week of January. A "normal" time should be the first week of Feb.

You had better tell the Greenwich people they have it wrong Steve. They state that it starts on 20th march at 7.02 AM EDT, and that although people like the MET office say it is March 1st, it is only for convenience sake. The pound once bought 1.60€ ....It now buys only around 1.15€...And will drop further. So It has fallen hugely against the Euro. The major world reserve currencies are the dollar and Euro....Not the Yen or pound.

???? What is the "world currency"? Err yes...And the pound has fallen against both...

Yes you are....Your imports are cheaper from the Eurozone...As a consequence when the pound falls they are dearer.
