  10. Heres a pic of an 18lb common that i caught at a lake called silverlands ages ago. 18lb common pic Sorry about the quality of the photo but i was using a disposable camera and it was ******* it down.
  11. Ive been using paste wrapped around a floating dry expander pellet for carp fishing on a lake where boilies are banned and it has worked a treat for me. I did 36 hours at the lake and took 21 carp to 11lbs when noone else was catching. The paste that i use is available at www.thebaitmaster.co.uk
  12. i use dry spaghetti now, only 16p from somerfields and you will get thousands of bait stops out of it. You can also trim it to whatever size you want. [ 17. August 2005, 09:54 AM: Message edited by: waddis ]

  15. i usually night fish on my own and have found the most usefull tip would be to get everything organised before darkness falls. I always take a couple of mags, a book and the radio which is left on all the time. Dont know if anyone else has noticed this but late night radio is so crap.
  16. i prefer to have my rods ready set up for short sessions to maximise the fishing time, but for night sessions i will leave the swim alone (after putting some bait in) whilst setting up my bivvy and other stuff.
  17. did a night for eels above a weirpool on wednesday and fished nearly every method for eels but coulndt get a bite. Then went piking below the weirpool yesterday and had a 3lb eel on a whole smelt at midday and lost another on smelt. and i thought eels were night feeders. [ 29.
