  5. Whitley Bay FC have made it to the final of the FA Vase at Wembley this year. We have won it for the last 2 years so the hat trick is well on. The game is Sunday 08 May. Who would bet against them !! We play Coalville Town. With this in mind have had a fiddle in Photoshop creating a "Geordie logo" for the occasion. Although its a Whitley Bay occasion my black and white roots won through. What you reckon team ? I pick up my T-shirt with the print on this week John
  6. Looks like a canny sized bite out of Sammy the Seal I wonder what story the "Sun" would generate if I sent them this photo in Boat fishing in Luce Bay last summer had this bait chewed by a tope/bull huss John
  7. A great clip, cheers for that one John
  8. Will fill mine in tomorrow, just got back from opening the caravan for the season John
  9. My first attempt at a "panorama". Been meaning to try it for ages (2/3 years at least) !!!! Went over to open our caravan on the shore of Luce Bay last week. Got up early one morning and took some shots of the sunrise from our caravan veranda. I overlapped 4 shots swinging around the bay, tripod mounted. Just had a bit fiddle in Photoshop and finished up with this effort I am sure I could improve on this shot and have the original RAW and Jpeg images. Would appreciate any comments/critique team John

  16. Here you go Fred I have dug out a few shots of some oz buildings I photographed during my 2008 "walkabout". I fell in love with the Queen Victoria Building in George Street,Sydney. For more information on it see here This large old hotel in the middle of Melbourne also took my fancy,The Windsor. It was just a short walk from Flinders Street Station. These next two I photographed in Glenelg,Adelaide. It was here that I met up with your son Mick (Hellbelly) St Andrews Church This one was the town hall in Glenelg. On our travels north of Cairns and into the Daintree rainforest we stayed for a while in Port Douglas. What a lovely place and the jetty fishing was awesome !!!! Next to the jetty I fished from every morning was the church of St Marys by the Sea. It was a real gem see here Hoping to return again in the near future for a 3 month trip, will keep you informed Fred John
  17. Like your pictures Fred and yours n4lly Will have to dig out a couple of my oz building photos Fred and see if you know any of them. John

  20. Meet my youngest grandson Joshua, nine days old, wearing his "toon colours" for the first time. With an initial weight of 9.5 lbs reckon he would amongst the prizes in most local club comps LOL. He will be alternating with Arsenal tops and babygros mind as that is the team that his dad supports. He is just like his grandad Snatcher though, always falls asleep on a full belly John
  21. Thanks very much Chesters Will get in touch if heading your way. John
  22. Its a wonderful country Elton and you will enjoy it to the max I am sure. I suggest you join this Sydney fishing forum before you go out and tell them about your forthcoming trip see here I finished up on a couple of trips with the lads from it. If in Sydney a good tackle shop is "Fishouttawater" (spelling?) Its on George Street opposite the Queen Victoria building. Say you are a pal of Snatcher. I still keep in touch with them and regularly post on their forum. I have some fishing gear in Sydney but unfortunately its in storage at the moment. A good plan is to take some basic stuff like hooks, swivels, shot, floats, line and just buy a rod and reel there, unless you take a telescopic. If taking hooks/spinners they are classed as "sharps" and cannot be carried in hand luggage Have a great time and take plenty of pics John
  23. Down here in Sandhurst for a couple of weeks as our daughters baby is due anytime now. Anyone living local fancy a few beers The Wellington Arms and Sandhurst WMC are just on my doorstep here John
