Has anyone ever tried to re-create a pipefish type lure for pollack gilling etc? They are fairly prevalent in Ireland for the last couple of years also - especially with Pollack feeding on them.

Does such a thing exist. I can find a couple of Abu etc that are LH wind but not mag versions. Can anyone recommend anything? Doesn't even have to be a mag reel as long as it's fairly easy to control - just getting into the shore stuff as the boat weather in Ireland has been poor this season so far.

Thinking of buying some Power Pro - have read good things about quality etc - can anyone advise whether 50lb is sufficient for general boat fishing etc using 20/30lb outfit or would 65lb be better choice? Also would appreciate advice on what breaking strain to use on a 50lb class setup - heavy wrecking etc and maybe some skate.
