  1. I am very disappointed in the Moderator(s) of this thread that has seen fit to delete my post, is it okay for B Phil to make derogatory remarks, in my eyes and others yet his post stays. His post is tantamount to war in Liverpool yet I call him something we all know and I get done.

This is the end of me on this site, I have loved the interaction with quite a few of yers, yer a good bunch..but

To Kleinboet, Stubbsy and you other gooduns..goodbye! ;)

Just to let yer know, I was once danzante and came back on with another username, it happened in the past to me when I upset a female in a friendly way that is yet the owner or moderator thought otherwise.

    Sh-1t happens! :)

  2. A few years ago, while waiting for my son, I stood by a little stream right in the middle of Cardiff (behind the Royal College of Music, opposite a big park, for anyone who knows Cardiff). It was full of what seemed to be little grayling, roach etc.

As an experiment I jumped up and down as 'loudly' as I could. The fish came flocking in !! The more I jumped around - in very plain view of fish in crystal-clear water about 18" deep - the more they swam over my way ;) I still wonder if they had learned to associate bankside vibration with drunken revellers about to drop the remains of their kebab or fish+chips in the stream. Reminded me of the way carp match anglers make the biggest splash possible with balls of groundbait :)

Also, check out "total internal reflection" - at a certain distance/depth ratio the fish can't see you at all. All they see is a reflection of underwater stuff on the underside of the water surface (with allowances made of course for ripples, where they might theoretically see scattered fragments of you if indeed they can see that far at all )

I reckon the fish had never seen a madman before and were curious. :)

  3. You haven't told us yet if Matt caught any chub in his bright red jumper.

He caught one anyway on the bend of the river :) dont know where I got SERIUOSLY from

I'm not into camo either but Matt does wear a lot of it, then again, it was out of his older series.

must put back on my Union Jack suit now we've cleared this up. :)

  4. Depends what screening or cover he had in front of him, I suppose - you can wear what you like, so long as you can keep very still and the fish can't see you!

 that's not bad for you Dave

Seriuosly! does that mean camo is not worth the cloth its stitched on? :(

  5. Watched Matt Hayes earlier, he crept under some barbed wire to appear as inconspicuous as possible..wearing a RED jumper  have I got this all wrong or wha'? :)

  8. Nice story newt, but what if the diminutive sailor had ignored the bully and instead gone and beat up the guys wife and kids?

Or lets imagine it was a knife fight and this diminutive sailor in his frenzy of slashing slashed a few of your shipmates to death.

Would you still feel the same way?

I'm not anti semetic and think what happened to the Jews in the war was deplorable BUT that doesnt give them the right to practically ethnically cleanse Lebanon as they are now.

The world held great sympathy for the plight of the Jews, but that sympathy is slowly but surely changing to disgust around the world.

Islam is often cited as the religion of hatred, hostility and intolerance........one only has to see whats going on in Lebanon right now to see it not the only religion which could have those charges levelled at it.

Still, I'll say one thing.........its a VERY thorny issue and its a credit to this board that its been discussed in a civil manner (despite one member trying his hardest to stir it up)

PS....whilst reading the news tonight I found this (source was myway, a US news channel).......its kind of interesting as from a strictly numerical and military point of view you could say that hezbollah have the moral high ground in the civilians v military deaths stakes. You'd never believe it though looking at some of the news footage (Fox news for example). Still, I guess people will see what they want to see.

"At least 548 Lebanese have been killed since the fighting began three weeks ago, including 477 civilians and 25 Lebanese soldiers and at least 46 Hezbollah guerrillas. The health minister says the toll could be as high as 750, including those still buried in rubble or missing.

In all, 55 Israelis have died - 36 soldiers as well as 19 civilians killed in Hezbollah rocket attacks."

Nice story newt, but what if the diminutive sailor had ignored the bully and instead gone and beat up the guys wife and kids?

You amaze me each post, there's always something idiotic you add, I must be an idiot chattin to one. :(

  9. if you critisise anyone or anything your offereing a view ,had he been pro isreal he would be demonstrated an anti "moslem" view :rolleyes:

being slated as anti anything in a response is a sign of no defence or argument .

how many times has the word zenophobic been used to put down arguments against foreigners or foreign ways ,they'r just words chucked in because the objector cannot reason or show an argument showing the other person is wrong , "my dads bigger than yours" updated

its not anti semetic its anti israely ,no one has mentioned the jewish faith as far as i can see just the israely (as a country) side of things :P

I think his posts show anti' Israeli views. :)
