  1. I knew somebody who never had a bookworm or even know that they existed, I don't think his name was Sid, He did have a sister but I don't think her name was Polly This is amazing, I had some marbles once, a big bag of them I used to play a game called 'Marbles' with them which I thought was a strange coincidence. If you have luvvey duvey mash around you I think you must live in the North, is the luvvy duvvey mush green coloured and smells like Peas? I knew a bloke once who ate pies, his name was neither Cecil or Sid but he did used to get on the bus, not sure if that was the same bus as Chesters Jackdaw got on. If I see him, he is usually near the pie shop, I will ask him about Chester's jackdaw
  2. well that little bit of information will keep Ferret off this forum and on that site for days!!!!!!!!1
  3. They are probably going into shock
  4. Missed that lol.... BUT I think you might not want to have let that little tip out of the bag
  5. Trouble is they are often limited in time and everybody often doesn't get to see the whole picture
  6. I may be wrong on this as I havn't looked into it since it was first published a few years ago. But do they genetically modify the worms in a similar way trout farms do. To make them all one sex or take away their breeding capability so they grow bigger/faster? If no then surely the answer has to be restocking of 'nursery areas' to allow them to get a foot hold. Remember that Ragworm do migrate and swim around at certain parts of the year.
  7. As I live in a rural area it's easy for me to get an idea on when the pictures were taken, my area hasn't been updated since it first went to high res. It is their intention to increase the resolution of other area. I presume that once thats done they will go over and replace images. I don't think you get any better detail unless you pay a LOT more money, I am not sure how much the CIA's version would be though
  8. Very Good............ I can't walk very well let alone run so I have my friend Flint to do the running for me
  9. Tried to PM you this Elton but your IB is full.......... Hey Elton, Was just replying to that post when you locked it, I don't blame you for doing so. Perhaps you can see what I was typing as it did say 'post saved' Just an idea but as these posts seem to flair up over a period of an hour or so, and appreciating the difficulties you have in keeping up with all the posts from a moderating point of view........ And Noting that you recently made a change to the post timer for subscribers.... Could you not put an extended time delay on threads that are becoming.... difficult. People who are starting to bicker and get worked up would be met with a 'sorry you may not post on this thread for 20 mins' or whatever and have time to engage brain and think about what they are saying, gives you more time to edit and delete threads also
  10. His surname is Snow and thus Snowy. HOWEVER...................... The link is there and you are almost spot on, I agree this is really eerie. He has been to Australia, I kid you not tis the truth. He went there some many years ago, He is very old so I would not be at all suprised if the Snowy Mountains were named after him. Even more coincidental I know for a fact that he has been on a Coach, I wouldn't be suprised if he got off the coach at some time and walked. Since he got back home I presume he got back on the coach after his walk. Is that what you did Leon, that would be surreal
  11. http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/index.p...wtopic=5967&hl= Amazing how some things come up again, If only we could all have the same idea at the same time and do something about it.
  12. You had me worried for a minute there Ken so I've been down to the town in my car, parked it 3 times in a row spot on, so no problems there
  13. http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=60817 Ferret may be put off by your threats of violence Nursey but the truth must always prevail. You really shouldn't have posted that your glad it's not on the Non-Fishing Chat I am ready
  14. See being a woman you can't see the bigger picture, as I said I had a pet Newt and it never mowed the grass, you have a Newt and it don't mow the grass therefore, unless anybody can give me evidence to the contrary "Newts do not mow grass" is a fact of life and there is no good complaining about it. I knew a bloke once I can't remember his name, it might have been Sid, certainly not the Sid who lived up the road that was differently named than my pet fish who was not called Sid. I cannot be sure but I don't think he had a moustache and he didn't ever carve memorial benches. I saw him buy some jam once and it was blackberry jam, anyway. He didn't mow a lawn either, I think this was probably due to the fact that he lived in a flat and didn't have a lawn. Anyway, he had a sister, her name was Polly I know this as I named my newt after her, she used to mow her lawn, probably because she didn't live in a flat, If she lived in a flat she wouldn't have mowed it I suppose. She wasn't a newt, nor was she named after a newt. The newt was named after her. I never saw her eat marmalade but I know that she liked to eat cake. Anyway, the favorite name for a parrot is also Polly, I have a friend, his name is Snowy, he doesnt have a moustace but he has a parrot called Skipper, he also likes to eat cake. he doesn't mow his lawn also because he hasn't got a lawn but he has got vegetables in his garden. I should point out to avoid confusion that I am refeering to Snowy and not Skipper his parrot. It is Snowy that likes to eat cake and grow vegetables, his parrot skipper, probably does eat cake but definately doesn't grow vegetables. He doesn't like vegetables but likes smarties. I had a dog once, and I have two dogs now, but the dog I refer to has sadly passed away, he used to like smarties. My two dogs I have now would probably eat smarties but they don't get them, I do not think they would eat or grow vegetables and I know that they wouldn't mow a lawn if they had one. I have a lawn, which, they are free to mow if they want to but don't seem to bother so I suppose they would not mow the lawn if it was theirs. My two current dogs are called Bertie and Flint. I knew a bloke called Bert but did not name my dog after him because he never cut his grass either, but then he lived on a boat so I suppose he had a good excuse. Bertie was so named because I live in a house built by Prince Albert (Bertie to his wife Queen Victoria) I think that Prince Albert liked Cake but he NEVER mowed his lawn either nor did he have a park bench inscribed to his memory although he has other things named after him. I would tell you now about my three tortoises called Inky, Pinky and Ponky but that would mean hijacking this thread
  15. Odds on Ferret have been recalculated now 20/1 outsider to finish Squashed
  16. WOW.......... yet another unbelievable coincidence. I had a pet Newt once and her name was Polly, I don't think she liked mowing grass either as I never saw her do it.
  17. OK I am giving odds of 11/15 on Ferret........... as is Ferret to win 2/1 if it's at night with toads about and he has his torch Ferret to win 15/1 if he drops bars of chocolate as he runs
  18. Post corrected for Political Correctness
  19. mmmmmmmmmmm...... lets see, anybody else and I would guess Sid or Cecil but since it's you Leon.......... I'm going for Lumbricus terrestris
  20. Yup, was moved from Sea Fishing a few moments ago. I think it was Sid
  21. I know it's been mentioned before but I LOVE this programme. The Good Old Isle of Wight is the first County in UK to be fully covered at highest resolution. You can just make out my Labrador in my garden Only pity is the offshore areas are still too low too see where the charter boats are fishing but you get a good idea

  23. I had a pet Rhubarb plant called Cecil, I don't think he had any pet worms although, I am sure if he did he would have called one of them Sid (he was kinda that sort of Rhubarb plant) He was stolen from my garden one day, the only clue left was a set of Honda C90 tyre prints on my lawn. Never got a ransom note. Jan V your garden is almost the same as mine, I have that in my garden as well
