  1. Can anyone tell me if there is a web site that sells lead moulds, I am specificaly looking for a clock/watch leads. Thanks in advance.
  2. good advice from Toerag, I have caught black bream in Cornwall, used very light gear with a 3 hook paternoster, small hoos and small squid strips. I would be surprised if they are still about as I thought they were a warmer weather fish. Anyway, good luck and enjoy whatever takes your bait.

Chris, Where is it on your site?

Chris, Sounds like a bargain to me, I will check out your site. Thanks.
  5. These knives are great for the boat, if anglers loose one over the side it is not the end of the world, at less than £2 for three knives and a sharpening steel I will not complain. Seriously though, I have to agree that if you are buying a fillet knife for your own personal use, buy the best you can afford - and look after it. Anyone know of any bargains out there? Cheers
  6. Hi Ada, No, I can not match that at the moment, sounds like a really good deal. If a skipper is offering deals like this it would be great to share them with your fellow anglers - you should name him, I am sure he would appreciate it. If he is not in my area I would like to come on an indivuduals day. Respect to your skipper and I am glad you are loyal to someone that offers superb value for money. The Juniors festival sounds like a good idea, cheers.
  7. had a guy on the boat once, felt a bit sea sick, had a sleep. when he woke up he went straight onto deck and cast a rod.....did not watch where his hook was, hook was in his mates shorts, he cast the rod with such force that the rod broke in two........thank god the hook was caught in his mates clothing and not his skin!
  8. Henry Gilbey is by far the best at the moment, but it is nice to see the memory of Jack Hargreaves, what a great sunday afternoon program - just after lunch if I remeber correctly. I must say I enjoyed Reel Wars - sea angler versus coarse angler, the other ones I like are the two blokes with the black labradors, always seem to take a break at lunchtime to have a glass of wine.... very civilised!

both really, I have only fished for trout on a lake at the moment but the rod and reel I bought is suitable for both.

  11. Hi , I have just added another topic to my website for selling boats and stuff. If you want to sell any tackle, check out: http://www.findboats.co.uk/classifieds/ind...set_add_ad_cat= or click on "findboats" at the top right hand corner. It is free and all you need to do is register, you can also add pictures if you like. The site is in early stages, any suggestions will be appreciated. Not a money maker, just a toy. By the way, if anglersnet have a banner ad, let me have it and I will put it on the site.
  12. One of my best ones..... Bought some new line, fluorocarbon, loaded it onto a multiplier and thought I would save it for my light tackle fishing. Now, being left handed, I have several multipliers all of the same model number and make. One of my favourite lines was Suffix tritanium which looks very similar to the flurocarbon..... yes you guessed it. I picked up the wrong reel and cut off all of my old line to renew it. When it come of all nice and soft like, i thought -something strange here....I cut off all of the brand new flurocarbon that had never been used...........nice line though!

    Fly tying

Hi, I am new to fly fishng, more of a sea angler, but I must say that the art of casting and using a man made lure really gets me going when I feel the pluck of a take. My question here is in relation to tying my own flies. I have seen many kits advertised, the main differences seem to be quantity of materials, is there anyone out there that would recommend a kit, a list of parts to make up my own kit or any other suggestions?
  14. I remember when I had a smaller boat, we were leaving the harbour going past some anglers who were laughing at the boxer and the yorkie with their lifejackets on. They were shouting "what are they"? I replied.......yes you guessed............."Dogfish"
