  1. You're joking? this "pc" nonsense is getting way out of hand, at this rate there will be a backlash and it wont be pretty. Im not a religios spiritual person, but Im more than happy for those who are to celebrate there own religious or historical belifes; Ill happily join in if im invited too. I was informed last year by a somewhat important lady within our local educational establishment, that we should not refer to the children as "boy" or "girl". Apparently by saying "good boy/girl etc" we were being sexist and non pc. My reply can only be decribed as short and blunt, how Ive managed to remain in the teacher training program Ive no idea. So, all you boys and girls.....ohhh sorry, I mean ladies and gentlemen.......wait, nope thats wrong too.....Ill start again... To all persons of non specific gender, working within non descript roles with unidentifiable physical characteristics. Would you kindly go forth and multiply, and let the remaining rational gender specific boys and girls get on with their lives? Ta very much.
  2. The sent of a bait will still attract pike and any other fish in cold conditions. However a fish, like any other animal, may not want to go chasing food/bait during these cold times, prefering instead to preseave energy by remaining in a lathargic state and snatch up food that comes there way. Ive never caught river pike in faster moving water during the winter, probably due to them not wanting to expell energy in the current. I think the best method would be to have one static bait placed near to a deepish feature or a warmer area of water and another bait used to search out different spots. Pike are never to far from prey fish, so its worth finding these areas too. IMO
  3. Thats a pretty good idea, I do like the rod it's helped me catch and land some great fish (some of my biggest fish come to think of it). Im keeping it, so I may aswell look into having it "restored", but another good rod wont hurt my bulging collection. Do you know anywhere that would undertake the work? Ive never worked on a rod before and wouldnt want to mess it up. Thanks [ 09. December 2004, 04:20 PM: Message edited by: Phil Adams ]
  4. Lol @ Newt Almost everything a liquidizer is designed to "liquidize" contains........liquid (water. If you were to put fruit/veg or even raw meat into the liquidizer you could turn it from a solid state into a liquid state. Hence the name. Although bread and a bunch of other things will not liquidize.
  5. Yup agree with the above, AVG and Zone alarm are the best bets. Although if you have an old pc knocking about, turn it into a hardware firewall for even more protection
  6. Ahhhhhhhhh but aslong as the initial and final consonant clusters are the same, the brain can work out the rest quite easily. Still no excuse though
