Anyone know much about these pins..? I know that he does not make them anymore but it would be nice to know if anyone own's one. The reason I am asking is that I have half a chance of obtaining a Carter Ariel Gem. Does anyone have one of these..? Regards....Martin H

Paul Boote's Barbel Trotters are great rods. Have had Carp to High 20's on them (by accident). Never seen another rod like these. Paul....Do you know of anything that meets the same action/spec..? Martin H

Forgot to mention what I use..! I have a Witcher Bisterne with a 13ft Custom built float rod built by Adrian Arpino, the rod blank is from America and it is the sweetest rod ever. Martin H

Bit bored on this chilly day so I thought I would ask this question. If money was no object what Centrepin and Rod would you use for trotting for Roach and Chub. Obviously there will be some who like the cheap and practical and others who like more bespoke rods and reels.. Martin

Thanks everyone. I just picked a spot and fished small PVA bags with pellets in. Just luck I guess but I will be going back. Martin

Fished the Thames for the first time ever at Hampton Crt for just 3 hours and was quite surprised at the fish which I caught. I caught Bream to about 6 1/2lb also had a really nice Chub of about 4lb and lastly had a Barbel about 7lb. Had lots of rod top knocks and small pulls as well. What a great 3 hrs free fishing...! A question for anyone with knowledge of the Thames around here... How big do the Barbel and Chub go to...? Dont want to know anyones fav swims or the like, but it would be nice to know what is swimming around....! Regards....Martin
