  1. If its round its a s-video if its usb'ish shaped it will be a HDMI slot.
  2. Nvidias 'atuo' fan control aint that great tbh iirc it stays at 40% fan until the gpu hits around 85-90degs then it will ramp up to 100% fan(very naff imo) i run 50% idle and up to 70% when gaming and never hit 80degs thou ill lower this even more very soon when i rip the reference heatsink/fan off and reseat with some nice nice thermal interface paste/filler pads. Cant see the power supply being a problem tbh as if it was you would be experiencing random crashes/lockups/graphics glitches and everyones old favourite the bsod Id still dump the 250's now while ya will get a few quid back for them and buy a ati 5800 series or a nvidia 280+ in real world usage you will see much more a performance increase than sli 250's plus it will gobble less juice (the 5800s even more so as at idle they consume much less power than the generation of cards before them) Do you have the nvidia system tools thing installed for fan control/on the fly overclocking etc ?
  3. Ive ordered tons of stuff from overclockers all with no hassles , ive allso ordered tons of stuff from aria again with no hassles same with ebuyer, komplett, dabs, scan etc over the past 12yrs Worst of the lot was dabs when i had to rma a hardisk around 7yrs ago , orrible rma process put me off them a bit after that. Are your temps in the pic idle or load Si ? bit high for idle imo if there 100% load for a few hrs temps then very nice indeed What psu you get as my corsair is near on silent tbh , infact few times ive had to check the fan is running. What games you play ? you gotta be a crazy gamer with that rig surely?
  4. Try the artic cooling range out for bang for buck , i had a artic cooler 64 on a AMD 3700+ running at 3ghz with idle temps in the low 30's , 100% load no more than 50degs. (only 3 low speed quiet case fans but good air flow) At the mo i run a scythe Ninja revb on a intel quad core(Q6600) in passive mode (ie no fan attached) and my temps only hit 60degs after a few hrs of prime95'ing cant overclock it thou as my mobo is total pants and unstable for such stuff (asus P5N-E SLI last time i buy a crappy nforce chipset tbh ) www.overclockers.co.uk carry lots of heatsink fan combos just make sure whatever you buy will firstly fit on your motherboard and secondly in your case Do you run your gfx cards fans on auto ? (ie 40% speed until temp hits around 85/90degs then fan kicks in 100% and pc sounds like a hoover) Reason i ask is my gtx275 dont half pump some heat out at stock fan speed 40% , up it to around 65% (noise level is still very low) and my temps stablise on it around 20degs lower than auto speeds. I can imagine the heat 2 x 250's must pump out and it could be the culprit of your high temps. Another soloution is a couple off aftermarket gfx card coolers but costs will rise there for decent ones. Oh aye get a hole cut in the back of the desk too u MUST have a air exit hole for air cooliing or you need go down the water cooling route etc.
  5. Make sure the voltage is cranked up to what the manufacturers spec for the ram ie i have some ocz 800mhz stuff that only works at that at 2.1v my mother board auto setting is just under 2v so i had to manually raise it to 2.1v in the bios. Memtest64+ is worth a try too to check if your ram is dodgy or its somthing else messing your system up and cuasing problems.
  6. Doom 9 loadsa info, guides, forums etc regards anything video wise on PC.
  7. 32 bit windows will use 3.2ish gb if i rememeber right. Another thing to consider is overclocking your cpu for a cheap fast alternative , quad core intel q6600's (2.4ghz) can be had for mucho cheapness nowadays and most will push on thru the 3ghz barrier with very little problems providing you have adequate cooling. Graphics card wise at the mo is a pesonal choice with cards from ATI and Nvidia being pretty much same price/performance at the mo. If you still looking for a graphics card hold off until after the 23rd of this month (sep) as ATI release its new higher end cards then and prices on everything else are expected to fall a tad.
  8. http://www.daiwasports.co.uk/ Daiwa Sports Ltd Netherton Industrial Estate, Wishaw Lanarkshire ML2 0EY T: +44 (0) 1698 355723 F: +44 (0) 1698 372 505 E: info@daiwasports.co.uk Top notch customer service too ive been in wih a few things and everything sorted there and then on the spot for me , i do live 5mins down the road thou
  9. To suddenly stop working like that id bet money on either a component has blew or a dry solder joint. Try giving all the components on the PCB a small wiggle see if anything moves more than it should , and like somebody else said above a very good drying out. If you know anyone who is handy with a soldering iron have them resolder all the joints on he PCB its worth a try anyway. My 3 GFM's are still going strong allbeit one has a cracked back cover where i screwed onto a bankstick too much doh! still works fine thou love em to bits tbh from piking to long range roaching they are the dogz dooodlies Ohh most common thing to go naff btw is the 9v bat connector make sure power is getting to the actual board from the battery.(a cheap multimeter will do the job) I araldited the pcbs and components on mine , just hope i dont ever need to replace anything on it
  10. I caught 1 less than you lot for ya 6 rods to my 1 One of the other boats caught at least 3 so all in lures well outfished baits again /me goes of to chuckle once again
  11. Funny thou u putting all the wet weather stuff down as bad news for piking /me now goes off to chuckle some more
  12. Thought ya didnt catch pike in the rain?
  13. Shimano Power Loop Competition 12.5m pole with spare top 2 can take upto size 12 elastic. (Only Used 5 times). Taken from http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/Sale-fu...350-t14578.html Sound about right ya thinks ?
  14. Take it you had no cash left for a decent OS map then and got somebodys 3yr old to doodle the map of the area? Somebody giz a shout once theres a torrent kicking around , save the trees and all that keeping it electronic
  15. My m8 has the greys rod and its pretty cool for lobbing most things except maybe hardcore jerk baits as its a tad too soft to get nice action from them. Other than that thou its a fine rod and a great allrounder tbh ive used it a few times for throwing big cranks, spring and reg dawgs ,smaller jerkies and its pretty nice to use plus its a very lightweight blank. Reel wise i cant recommend abu enough too owning a couple of 6501'sc3/c4 and a 5501c3 my m8 allso uses a 5501 on his greys. I bought both my 6501's and me m8s 5501 from cabelas and shipped them over from the states with no hassles plus its saves ya a few quid thou dont dismiss e-bay as there a few guys on there allways selling nice cheap abus. Theres tons of online info on the abus too with step by step stripdowns etc so buying 2nd hand isnt a major prob as generally a quick strip, relube, reassemble means a pefectly functioning reel for buttons I allso have one of deepinvaders 1/4 - 1oz abu conolon 7ft casting rods and tbh its the best £20 ive spent to date a peach of a rod. Just get ready for the onslaught on ya bank balance thou as i only started this lure lark 1.5yrs back and now own 3 setups (abu conolon for light/med ,gord burton superhog for jerkies/cranks/dawgs,fox jerkmaster for out and out jerky throwin - all picked up cheap on sale or e-bay etc) and a shed load of insane and bizarre shaped and sized lures. It aint half addictive thou and the fun factor is great Im investing in a big golf bag soon to house them in
