Had a quick look at the range in Lakeside after a meeting there today and was not overly impressed by anything even for the new/novice angler and although you could put together a kit and catch on it surely we have moved on from glass fibre rods now and a cheap composite would not be much dearer and with tesco buying power could probably offer for the same sort of money. ( by the way I work for them!!)

As medwaygreen , my night shift finishes friday and I will probably pop across to the Free flowing stretch of the Medway at Yalding and run a stick through for the morning, Just hemp and maggot for bites really It will be great to see a float go under !! Might even shut my eyes for a few hours in the afternnon and still see the float dissapearing, Anyone ever done that?

Can only manage the Sunday but really looking forward to fishing the place again and meeting old and new. Please keep an eye out for me at the gates as last year I couldn`t manage the combination!! Just finished my night shift and will shortly be seeing my waggler slip beneath the surface ripple to be met by a swift strike and then ...............the wife will probably wake me hoovering!! still can sort my tackle then, looking forward to the fishing and BBQ and meeting old and new, CANT wait!!
