  1. How else would they blow their nose.
  2. Had some Peacock quill in my garage for some time now and on the hope I make the Wingham list am looking to make some extra long wagglers, Last time I made this style float was in my youth for fishing windy drains and I seem to remember gently "waving" the bent quill over a naked flame, Is this o.k or are there any better methods?
  3. Congratulations to him, Wow what a slab, looking forward to the pic`s.

  5. Brings back a lot of early childhood memories, I used to live in London road alongside the river Cray and fished it lot`s as a teenager and everyone thought I was mad! Caught a Dace of 1lb 1oz from the stretch at Bourne road!! along with chub roach dace and perch.Tempted to pop along and re-kindle my passion for the river some time this year.

  12. Now that might make the fishing a bit more of a challenge: whose s**t can catch the most, Any suggestions?
  13. Good question Anderoo, I do occasionally fish one or two of the commercial lakes in Kent as they tend to cater for the family and female anglers by way of toilets etc, Providing you dont get suckered into whacking out large baits on heavy rigs attatched to baitrunners and alarms they can give you an enjoyable day out, That said if they were the only option I would follow Leon`s reccomendation or play more golf
  14. Cheers chaps, Looks like i`ll just have to enjoy being on the river:Beats work anyday!
  15. Thanks Peter, Needed something to motivate me after checking next weeks weather: Heavy snow and 30 mile p/h winds!!
  16. Hi all, Looking for some info from the norfolk pike brigade. Up on the Bure next week and usually concentrate my October / March efforts around the boatyards and cuts with reasonable success, During the warmer months I have better luck from the main rivers: The question is: are there any pike feeding in the main river, perhaps from the slack areas like the inside bend horning yacht club? or would I be better off sticking to the boatyards and cuts? Dont need specific info as I prefer to do my own legwork but just interested to hear others views.

  21. Hi pondplopper. If it`s early march try contacting canterbury and district angling club they have several waters and I believe they still issue day tickets for the stour at grove ferry and plucks gutter: havent fished there for a few years but used to be some of the best winter river fishing in the land, Grove ferry can be very "swimmy" Boat yard bend always a good bet. R egards Kevin
