  5. Many thanks for the reply/link Judy, I love the place went last year but only for a week so didnt go fishin...didnt dare but this time am stayin for a fortnight so have enough time to try some sea fishin without upsettin my better half

I've strayed from the coarse fishing forum to ask this so please be gentle with me I'm off on holiday to Santorini in a few weeks time and wondered if any one knows about or has been fishing there before, the local diet is fish and being as its only a small island surely there must be some boat on shore fishing of some description? I have looked on t'internet but failed to find any info at all really........

  9. bought my last two off the EA website and they both arrived within 3 working days...must have been lucky eh? also they send a return emither to confirm you can print this off and use it as your licence to fish till the hard copy arrives.....
  10. Beltin' fish Elton well done I'm about to head off for a days fishing in an hour or so and Tench are my quarry! Only snag is finding a decent tench water up here where they are the majority species, having to try yet another farm pool today stocked mainly with carp and roach but has a "few" nice tench in there, so heres hoping..............

  15. just finished work and started rooting through some old tackle in my garage prior to getting my gear together ready for a few hours fishing tomorrow night post work ( not managed a days fishing recently due to workin a 7 day week)anyway to get to the point, I found a Kingfisher 1000X reel in a case never used, i must have been given it about 6 to 8 years ago as a present didnt even remember having it to be honest......... :confused: the question is does anyone know if this make/model etc is good, bad or indifferent??

Well Issac i've never ever had a problem with them or the quality of their maggots :confused: maybe you just picked an "off day" all bait shops have them? they are normally good quality and have all the different colours etc to choose from? and i still dont know where else charge a £ a pint, it must be a loss leader as most shops charge an average of £2.20 and still only make coppers on the sale
  17. Rudd explain a little more for this thick ol' head please? when you say leeda tackle does that exclude luggage bedchairs bivvies etc? as the tackle shop i use regularly stocks shimano rods reels etc and leeda luggage bedchairs

  19. at the shop i gop to, stuck to the counter is a notice stating "maggots may no longer be sold in plastic bags due to an environmental health law"

BMAC it is mate, sent off application waiting list for a swim....seriously? :confused: they do say in there publications that they have barbel to specimen size in the their stretch of the dane I think you need to make 15 posts mate before you can select an avatar (via edit profile) the not for sale logo and the old United crest are there or if you want a different one you can send it via email to newt who will add it to the avatars for you to select hope this helps
  21. I can assure you that NWAC at hindley and in Handforth (Trevs tackle is now part of NWAC) DO sell maggots at £1 a pint pinkies squats etc are £1.50 per pint

  24. spent all day today cleaning all my tackle preparing all my bait and loose feed, then spent a few hours plotting my intentions and tactics now i simply cant wait to get out there tomorrow I'm like a big kid waiting for christmas morning
