  3. H Tappy, Fished Hillhead twice same as RichardB but i did have a 1 13oz flattie and blanked the second session. I do agree wit you i'd rather be on a beach even if it is cold and i do blank. It's hit or miss and there's only one way to find out if you are gonna blank....do it. Let me know if ur comin down pompey i live 15 mins from eastney Arron

  5. Hello all after abit of a break from AN. Been out quite abit over the winter season with more blanks than i'd like to admit. After a good 2005 i thought i'd lost my touch. I made a quick decission to fish hill head for a few hours. After 3 hrs of trying dffierent rigs, bait and distance i sent my wishbone full of rag soaring into the horizon. 20 mins past and i noticed there was no movement in the rod tip at all so i started reeling in slowly and rewarded myself with a 1lb 13 oz . I also met RichardB who noticed me from a few pics i posted on here previous, he seemed like a nice bloke Gave me some good info for the area cheers mate. Hopefully i haven't lost my touch but the next few months can be difficult. Arron
  6. My mission next year is to target bass wit my spinning gear. Nice one
  7. I know there's plenty of u out there who can help. I tried fish for them the begining of the summer but was told by a few of u that they feed more later in the year. On my way home tonight i cound't help but notice the 60+ mullet chasing either white bait or shrimps. So i'm thinkin my dad's fly rod and...... well this is where i need help wot do i use??? Thanx in advance Arron
  8. I've only ever fished in a boat at night 3 times and that was off of southsea blokes and every time you'd but money on catchin doggies and not so much money on smuts but did catch a few bass. Every skipper i've spoke to bout this ave said like mike that there isn't much difference.
