  1. And 5 weeks in hospital!! He showed great composure after the crash to get himself down safely. Jeb Corliss rocks, well he certainly hits them. Check out "grinding the crack" on youtube to see what he was hoping to achieve. He didn't miss by much on that one either. Great music on both vids!! So turn up the volume.
  2. I'm still on the downward slope, but I'm getting there! And yes it's becoming more comfortable. Blood pressure checked yesterday at 125/86.
  3. Sorry Chris I can't help you as I could have been in the same boat but have decided to go legal!! All my usual sources have stopped allowing me to download anything so I thought I'd give Bit Torrents another try. They are just so slow [Of course it could be I'm doing it all wrong?] I'm on 10mb. It's easier for me to walk to the local Tesco and buy the CD I want. I might consider buying off the Internet but damned if I'll use iTunes.
  4. Grafham Water Fly Fishers' are holding their annual Litter Pick on Sunday 19th February. Meeting for breakfast at 8.30am [provided by AW] at the fishing lodge. Heading off around the lake at 9am back to the boat shed 12.30pm for an unseasonal BBQ. After the BBQ Peter Hartley will give a casting demonstration and help anyone out who has a casting problem.
  5. Now if he gets the England job and the £10m rumoured wage, I wonder how much tax he will actually pay to HMRC. I see Blair received something like £13m and only paid £365,000. The more they have the greedier they become!!
  6. Wouldn't say we were lucky, just made the decision and went for it. We were told there was a 5 week wait for installation so we ordered in the middle of September. The government may well have to backtrack on the decision to half the rate, after their appeal, but at least the chief green clown Huhne has gone.
  7. Den, I haven't really taken that much notice but I don't think they do. It might just be a winter thing as the days are pretty dark at this time of year when it's cloudy. I'm pleased I took the plunge! Sadly I might not live long enough to get the full benefit of them. Fingers crossed I do reach 92 yoa!! Colin
  8. I had 16 panels [3.84kw] fitted in early November, got my first cheque at £136 in the post. Just hoping for sunny weather throughout those long summer days. I reckon on paying for the panels in 8 - 10 years which is a return of somewhere near 10%, you can't get that from a bank! The bonus is the leccy metre going backwards as well.
  9. I upset some bloke from SKY the other day. I've been plagued with calls from them since I cancelled with them. I made the mistake of picking the phone up and it was SKY yet again. He said who he was and was phoning from SKY and then made the mistake of asking how my day was going, so I said "it was OK until you called", he rang off!! Result!!
  10. Just bumping this up as it's TOMORROW NIGHT!!

  12. I just hope the EA know about this illegal trapping. Doesn't the Koi owner know it's illegal to set a trap to catch an Otter?
  13. 14. Carp to 34lb any good to you? Sounds like a summer time venture. Colin
  15. Well I went for a clean install in the end and all is now well. I'm still puzzled as to where this came from or got in as I thought my security was pretty good? Ref. Roguefix, it just couldn't be run from the infected version of Win7 64 either in normal or safe mode. It was OK when used in Win7 32 and I scanned the infected drive. It found some problems but not the one that mattered, which I guess is understandable seeing it wasn't run from within the 64b system? Anyway thanks for your help and should you fancy a days fishing down Cambridge way let me know and I'll arrange a free day on one of our club's waters. Visit our Website Colin
  16. Well the new admin account worked fort a while and is now the same as the previous one. I didn't get the chance to transfer all the programs and files. I'm, about to run an online scan but can only do it from the 32 bit system on the same computer. Fingers and legs firmly crossed or it's a likely clean install in the morning. Colin
  17. Thanks again, I've followed your instructions but still getting the same message. However I have created a new admin account and I can get everything that was created with the new account to work. So perhaps it's just a corrupted user account?? I'll try transferring my folders and files over tomorrow. Thanks again, Colin
  18. Thanks for getting back on this one. I already have Avast and am presently running the boot scan [takes a while doesn't it!] Tried to find Roguefix 3 and downloaded it but it says it's not suitable for my system?? I'm running [or was] Windows 7 64 bit so if you can help with the Roguefix file I'd appreciate it. Thanks again, Colin
  19. whenever I try to launch any program from my Desktop I get a Windows Security message: Your internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened. I can't run Malwarebytes from any location, System restore won't work and it's the same in safe mode. I have a dual boot system with win7 in 32 and 64 bit installed on different partitions. 32 bit works OK and I've run MWBs from there and found some bad stuff that I've removed but still have the same problem. Any ideas?? 21. I'm not so sure. Had the self same thing happen in my back garden. Sparrowhawk took a Starling and then took it to my water scrape and proceeded to drown it.
  22. We have a change of speakers for the next meeting. Dr Ian Hurst from the EA will give a talk about the Killer Shrimp and it's impact on Grafham so far. John Mees will also be giving his review of the season past and the coming 2012 season. 6th December 7.30pm for 8pm start. Harbour View Restaurant, Grafham Water Fishing Lodge West Perry, Huntingdon. PE28 0BX Bar and snacks All welcome
  23. Sorry Newt, you must remember I'm trying to deal with a lady who has no idea of computers or software. I think the clean install is going to be the way to go or buy a copy of WIN 7 but I'd guess the machine won't have the capacity to run it. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the reply. Colin
