  1. I will be fly fishing as well; with a bit of luck may get one out on a dry fly
  2. Bar is a Sea Bass though sometimes called Loup de Mere; I would imagine 'gros becs' is a Garfish, no Idea about the other, perhaps Cory,Chris or Sportsman could advise. Tony
  3. 4nlly Is the Eastern Arm open for fishing, or were you on the Breakwater?
  4. I use exactly the same set up as chuby, but I use an Airflo floater; there has not been a problem with them for about five years but the myth still persists; indeed the ridge tactical ultra supple is the straightest floating line you will ever use. It pains me to say it but their lines are better than my beloved Orvis. Tony
  5. Budgie Good luck with this venture I'm sure it will be roaring success with the Specimen Fraternity, are you bringing out a Troots range? So Sue, Leon and myself can look uber cool
  6. Hi Kieron I use some of your stuff mainly fly lines, but I am also a fan of your outlander luggage, particularly the vest and back pack http://www.fishtec.co.uk/online.cfm/fishin...ack/40/no/53269 Tony

    Ebro Roach

Budgie You want to be fishing in the Embalse de Riba-roja area south of Mequinenza I have web details but they are in Castillano: http://www.ctv.es/USERS/jchb/ribaroja.htm Tony
  8. Greg Not so the new Airflo Ridge Ultra Supple Tactical Line are the straightest lines I have ever used way better than my Lee Wulff, Orvis or Courtland; that old myth has been well an truly busted. Tony

    Ebro Roach

I recall that when i first fished the Ebro at Riba Roja a guy in the party quiver tipped sweet corn and had some nice red fins many above 2lb, I was happy just catching decent Carp on bigger baits. I also had some decent Roach, when I was Mullet fishing on the Rio Ter near Estartit, (never got a sniff of the Mullet though).

    Stove?

    or look here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-Pint-Kelly-Ket...#ht_2106wt_1163
  11. Newt In fact it is just the opposite Felt soled boots are by some way the commonest sole used on wading boots in the UK (for Game fishing anyway), the newer compound soles are just starting to catch on and hopefully replace them. Countries like New Zealand have banned felt soled wading boots for some years now in an effort to eradicate any disease that may be spread as a result of their use.
  12. Leon You will have to let me know when you are going up and see if we are around at the same time. It is also worth taking up your sea gear but not the Mullet outfits whilst they are there they are thin on the ground. Tony
  13. I was out this morning and a very nice session, though Sue blanked; fly fishing of course. Tony
  14. Azree Thanks for some nice recipes; you have taken over the role of the Forum's resident Gourmand. Tony
  15. I have seen a Brown Trout take Moorhen and Coot chicks on more than one occasion; so it's not just Pike.
  16. We are up for it on Saturday Morning
  17. In Kent as well; we were lucky we had a trip to Devon booked a few months ago.
  18. Leon The lakes in Devon were fine and a lot of fly anglers were out this weekend, is Parkwood frozen?
  19. I have already been fortunate enough to fish with Vagabond, on the Itchen so I would chose either Lefty Kreh or Lee Wulff (if he was still with us).
  20. Sue and I were out on Saturday still water Trout fishing in Devon and very good it was to; we had five fish between 2-3lb in a morning session. All the fish were up in the water despite the cold and were taken on floating lines and demsel nymphs, or olive green lures as I prefer to call them.
  21. Someone tell me this is all a joke ?????
  22. Brilliant, sums up about 50% of the Carp anglers on my club waters.
  23. Hawk Plenty Griffons around the Ebro, just head up to Mont Caro. Tony
  24. I tell you what the 50lb cheap ebay Chinese braid makes fantastic fly line backing, way better that the the branded products.
  25. Hawk I can recommend the Ebro I used to do a lot of fishing on the river and as Sportsman says it's not just about Catfish there's Carp, Barbel, Mullet Bluefish Leerfish and Black Bass. There is no need for you to bivvy up for the holiday either there are guides operating out of the resorts of Salou and Cambrils who specialise in running day trips to the river and they will arrange bait, licences etc. Then again you could always go to Cuba and do some proper fishing!!!
