  1. Plenty down here in Jersey could have fished all day and drained the sea of Mackeral but I'm not like that, one full house and thats me ready for some serious fishing and as a backup for dinner, I know it's been done to death but I cant/dont understand the people that go out there and catch hundreds just because they can. Weekend before last I counted 16 yak fisherman in and out of an area no bigger than 30 yards square myself included this and at least another five boats the Mackeral were hammered and I paddled off in disgust at the sheer greed in fact and I know this sounds selfish but yak fishing has become so popular that it's lost it's sparkle it's like the M25 out there now. Sorry guys didnt mean to hijack this thread, carry on .
  2. You wont regret it, fabulous rod
  3. Hahaha well I didnt want to go that far, well not this early in the football season.
  4. Weyhey sausages for tea again..............
  5. HAhahaaAha very funny, dont give her ideas
  6. Look what I found They found one in Guernsey yesterday, I didnt really think much of it I'd just got out of the water after landing the yak and going for a snorkel when i found one the shoreline although missing the tentacles (insert your own joke here) you can plainly see it is a man o war, needless to say i didnt get back in the water lol. Tried reporting it to the local Ag and fish over here but it was just an answer phone, blah blah saturday blah wont be open till tuesday blah. Anyways its now sitting in the fridge in my missus finest tuperware, lucky i got her insured
  7. Surface the boat.................. Ello Ello, wheres Bergerac when you need him, apparently the local bobbies got in touch with their counterparts in Burnley to check the address given out by the couple at the Rozel campsite and not all is as it seemed, the address given was of an old derelect house not lived in for years, not only that there had been a robbery just a few doors away and that included the peoples passports..........fishy eh? Still if you going to do a runner in an inflatable Kayak, from Rozel what with the Tour/race and a force three breeze you gotta be ignorant or have big cahoonas to go twos up in what is no more than a expensive lilo, if they have made belle france then no doubt they will get caught. At least I hope so, this has cost the rescue services thousands of pounds nevermind the time spent when there could have been a real emergency. I was paddling with my missus and our boy there on the following saturday I can tell you that if you miss timed it they would have had a hell of a paddle, as it rips passed there which was fine for us as we were being taken to Bouley bay. On our way back the tide had turned Tracy and Reece managed to paddle around the outside of white rock, and as I watched them I could see them traveling twice as fast sideways while I cut through the middle, it was like being in a giant bath and somebody had pulled the plug out, an absolutley amazing ride and over in seconds, but to try and go straight out even to the echrehos would have been an ardous task. JT, Dave kindly gave me something for you, any chance you could PM me or email me your address so I can either pop it around or we could meet up? I hope keeping well, have you manged to get out at all?
  8. Great find Martin, Ahahahah thats too funny Dave I'm half way through the email just a lot to write and being stuck in the IOM didnt help, I did try waving lol

  10. No but I was really gutted (no pun intended) funny thing though it had just been sold a week earlier.........fate eh.... Yes we'll have to meet up for a natter if nothing else. get hold of seadoos mobile if you can mines on holiday (long story)
  11. Anchoring in a 9 knot tide Oh well some people will have to learn the hard way I guess, When you get turfed out I hope you got enough energy to swim back to your yak when it slackens off, then again Johnny Weissmiester maybe you can swim against it too LOL. Greve is calling boys lets hope the weather picks up fancy having a pop at the east? maybe seymour tower weather providing?
  12. Hi Grant how are ya? all settled in to married life in St John's?? Went out good friday, better saturday and crap monday, no mackerel for me yet, a couple of big Pollack which I released and a sandeel which made for good live bait on a running ledger but with no takers released relatively unharmed......... Did a bit of plugging around Devils hole (ooer) had a couple of schoolie followers which is always nice to see, and of course the puffins are back to take the micky, they make catching sandeels a fine art which iv'e yet to grasp, cheeky gits.
  13. Same here in Jersey , patchy but at least they're starting to come in, a few being caught on the south coast.
  14.
