  1. Hi Newt.30th anniv trip mate.Have tele rod/s . If i dared to take them, think i may end up minus some of my own tackle cheers chris
  2. Thanks for your help last night Newt(Re AOL). Contacted them, all of us have had to change our screen names, hopefully thats it. Cheers chris. Were off now to tunisia for the week No rods allowed though
  3. Myriofilum(think spelling is correct)water milfoil is good.Canadian pond weed, good for helping to keep water clear, but needs to be kept in check. chris
  4. Hi Bradford Angler.I also think you are doing ok.Different varieties will vary in growth and flower production. If you want to propogate them ,lift them and divide them up.This should be done every 3/4 years anyway.By doing it you can retain the nice new rootstock and discard the older stuff. chris
  5. Take the b****y lot out mate,or you'll regret it later. chris.
  6. A TWELVE BORE . Dont go along with the decoys.Having lost fish out of two ponds over the last 3 winters, have now netted them until plants reappear. Both ponds are pretty close to the house and it does not deter the s**s at all.At least 4 other ponds(neighbours) in close proximity to me have also been wiped out on more than one occasion. Since netting them I have not seen a heron in the garde mind you there aint much left for them!! . chris
  7. Think I would be inclined to leave em where they are. Why not start up an aquarium from scratch!!. chris
  8. I dont feed mine in the winter full stop and rarely in the summer either, except perhaps a few pellets, maggot etc. chris
  9. Seems a lot of us are visited by the herons.I seem to get troubled during the winter months only,is that the case with you guys?? chris
  10. I have two small ponds,6x4s andtwo tropical tanks. Dont quite know what the heons have left me with though  ,think i still hav a golden tench and some goldfish, pretty sure the ghosties have gone and the rudd  Have now netted them after r stocking three times in as many years. Keep a selection of barbs, angel fish and tetras in the tanks. chris
  11. Another saddo here, two ponds ,two aquariums,I would certainly make use of a forum if there were one. chris
  12. Happy New Year Peter and everyone on A/N. chris
  13. I used to take th Angling Times every single week, now perhaps twice per month if that. What was a good read has now become very bland.Take the area reports. In my area(surrey),they use to report on the stillwaters and the Thames and rivers Mole and Wey,now the three latter never get a mention  .Dont think the Norfolk Broads exist any longer,at least not to A/Times. :eek:I notice the sea section is as bad. I would like the basic format to return to something like its former self.I for one would prefer more articles from a broader range of top names. chris
  14. Hi Dunk, dont take it as gospel but pretty sure that u can still get day ticket, will try to find out for u as my mate lives in e grinstead, but that wont be until after xmas. chris.
