  1. Funnily enough it was with Lady Helen. A great day, with over 40+ smoothies landed as well as a few strap congers, some baby tope and one sorry pouting. The fish were taken on a mixture of lug, prawn, live peeler and squid. A few pics: My first smoothie caught after 30 seconds of the bait hitting the floor My biggest of the day at 13lb 3oz Great day and like you say mate, they come highly reccomended.
  2. Heading to Penarth, South Wales for my first boat trip Sunday with a load of lads from another forum. I shall report back Monday or Tuesday hopefully with some decent pictures.

  13. Hi all, I have a trip booked for France next year with a gang of 6. The lake we will be fishing holds carp to 66lb, Cats to well over 100lb and Sturgeon to 70lb. Basically I need a whole new set up for this trip, as my gear isn't quite up to standards unfortunately. Here's what I need. 3 new rods of 3lb t/c (One of the rules is rods must be of 3lb t/c) I was thinking of going for the Fox Warrior XT's at £50 each, they seem great quality for the money. 3 new reels Thinking of getting Shimano 10000's New Bedchair Was looking at Daiwa Mission 3 leg. New Bivvy JRC STi 1 man twin skin was on my list 42" landing net Unsure on this That's the basic gear I was looking at. Can anyone say if they've had any experience with the gear I've listed and/or recommend something different. Thanks, Dan
  14. Great pics Judy, the mullet and first millenium wave shots are great
  15. First ever fish was minnows caught in a net at a very young age, first fish caught with rod and line was a mullet in Spain. First coarse fish (if you can count it) was a foul hooked 7lb mirror. My first fairly hooked freshwater fish was a roach.
