As soon as they've turned, they need to be bagged & stored in the fridge. Or stored in a bait tub in water stored in the fridge if you're not going to use them the next day.

No difference whatsoever.

I'm after a 9/10ft picker to fish the smaller Southern rivers, such as the Adur & the Arun & maybe the odd still water, fishing mainly for Roach, Chub & Bream, but needing some power if Tench & Carp make their presence known. Is the Garbolino Rocket Carp Picker any good? For 20 quid it seems a bargain! I'm not looking at spending a huge amount, but this rod seems to be ticking all the boxes, especially price. Any comments or experiences with this rod are appreciated.

Having grown up near the banks of the River Severn in Shropshire, i've had my fair share of barbel - pb hitting 10.2.0 - but i'm on a quest in Cornwall to bag some mullet. After reading FishingGuensey's thread i may swing towards the mullet on this one Hopefully i can report back soon with a unanimous verdict Jim

Cheers for that Do you fish for them on the bottom using bread? Do you fish or know the Fowey at all Norm? When i've bagged me first Mullet, i'll letcha know 'arold!

Do all mullet have big tails compared to their size? or just younger fish?

FishingGuernsey - you've got me frothing at the bit to have a go at the mullet on my local river Fowey. I've never caught a mullet, & after reading that i'm hooked! After my Gilthead bream expeience a few weeks ago, these mullet sound like they come from a different league (pound for pound) in the fighting department. Would bread work for mullet in dirty/tidal flood water do you know? Cheers for post
