  1. That looks way too over engineered for what it does. A matchman fits in a tacklebox compartment.
  2. As for the mrs. Setup thunderbird just now and have it save the emails locally fir her to access. Saving them in folders is an arse ache for searching.
  3. You can setup multiple accounts on thunderbird and outlook just be extra careful to find the option that says something similar to "save a copy on my computer" in the settings. They show up as seperate inboxes so you can have both gmail and orange. Once orange stop the emails the email client will keep trying to get the emails. You can then instruct the client not o keep trying and leave the inbox there as an archive of sorts and use the gmail one
  4. numpty, your phones not compromised you just put in the wrong password.
  5. is there a seperate program for your graphics card that could possibly change it ?
  6. He charged a grand each they only cost about £50 Like i said earlier, kodi is not illegal by itself.
  7. Sounds like your having to go some sort of security setup. Read it carefuly is it not asking fir more details or to set something up before you proceed. I access gmail from gmail.com it loads my inbox up but do sometimes get prompted.to accept some new policy or add a phone number.
  8. Never bothered with all the build stuff. Over complicates and makes the thing a bit flaky imo. Fresh install of kodi then its as simple as adding repositry and installing the app of your choice theres some popular ones my brother gets on with just 2 kodi plugins and another standalone android app. Couldnt be anymore simplistic id call it far from clunky.
  9. well if you added them from a kodi source they will be perfectly fine. course its nothin like vlc, its kodi just like windows media player is nothing like vlc or winamp or something or something or something.
  10. I dont know how the site handles things ive never looked. Are you saying it asks you to confirm you have a license before it shows content without you needing to prove proof that you do ? If thats the case the site is not doing any fact checking and monitoring. It probably stores a line in the cookie (licensepayer= true) purely for the purpose of not asking you again on the next visit. what do you mean why is it there ti choose. Do you mean plugins ? Kodi is a media player. It works as a media player out the box theres no need to do anything with it to get it working. Plugins aint limited to just illegal streaming plugins (which you need to add from 3rd party providers not kodi) theres loads of plugins created by their community that are perfectly legal that extends the functionality.of kodi such as some obscure video file format, audio equalizers, youtube, twitch streaming, netflix (with proper user authentication unlike bbc) even iplayer, stv, itv, all4. Even add epg functionality through a plugin. The skys the limit to what type of plugins you can make for kodi but you dont need plugins for what it actually is. You wont find illegal.streaming.plugins on the kodi website they sre quite against it actually.
  11. The cookie wont tell the bbc anything that would say who i am or where i am or have any sort of proof if i pay a license or not and the bbc certainly are not allowed physical access to my computer to check cookies on a whim. They could save an ip address and general location in the cookie but they would, like i said before, still have to go through the courts to find out who the ip address belongs to. Theres really no need.to store that info in a cookie tbh its logged serverside not client side. They wont be using cookies as a way to catch non license payers. They send round capita bullies instead. If your really paranoid about it disable cookies
  12. Im guessing you got one those ones that come fully loaded. Delete the entire thing and install kodi again from the developers site without all the guff and put on yer youtube plugin and one or two other plugins and it will run sooo much better. You can manage with only 2 plugins.
  13. Cookies dont work like that. What the bbc will have though are ip addresses of people accessing their servers and at what time. From that you can get the name of the isp and a general location (glasgow, blantyre, hamilton london, ipswich for example) They (bbc) then need to apply to the courts to to have the isp hand over details of the customer who had that ip address at that time. Or at least a cease and desist letter (more likely with torrents) I dont even think kodi stores a cookie its not a browser. Kodi itself is not illegal but when you start using user created plugins on it to stream from sky and bt sports your bang to rights
  14. because that would be quite illegal and if caught its not going to be as easy as closing the door on a bbc henchman. I wouldnt publicise the fact your nicking premium channels for free
  15. thats quite odd. Tried a different speed checker ?
  16. I always wonder how a warm spell can bring them on since water temps surely cant climb fast enough in the space of time we have. Is there another trigger perhaps. Can take months for the water temps to climb even a little up the fishery with the constant run off from the moores even in summer it can be a bit nippy but yet they still come on the feed.
  17. True, even the pit is quite at times but is still one of the most active fishing forums out there. I think our relaxed rules help a lot. we dont lock threads because of disagreements and any issues with the forum are promptly fixed by myself. I notice we still cant upload pics here since the last update, got to say its stopped me from adding any of my latest photos in the photography section because they are that good (imo) I refuse to put them on photobucket and I cant link from my facebook because its private and I regularly delete photos from that to stop facebook having rights over them. ive also seen anglersnets facebook page and its crap, like all of facebook. scroll through heaps of shite memes and ads or if something good does appear the comments section is a sea of people tagging their mates that its not even worthwhile trying to get a conversation going. I dont think social media is entirely to blame for poor forum activity (but it has contributed) I think as soon as the mods and admins dont take an interest in their own forum thats when it starts to go down hill and thats not a criticism of AN btw just a general observation. not always guaranteed, anglersnet regularly logs me out, no rhyme or reason. I just had to login.
  18. Why close the thread? Theres no point closing it and just annoying.
  19. P.s. Yes china is putting hardware in phones to spy and they were caught out not long ago too. Thankfuly only phones sold in china.
  20. Yes anyone can make an app do that and scary thing is i bet its already happened. Kids dont give a shite what goes on their phones or what data they collect so long as they get the app and they dont care. Almost selfish. uber was recently caught out keeping creepy tabs on celebs who use their service using the app on the phone. My phone cant block permissions for apps its an old model and cant take a custom firmware so no apps except tomtom on mines ever. Im always trying to educate my 16 year old nephew the dangers of apps even from the play store but he just does not give a crap. We all got a text message couple of months ago from unknown number "uncle andy / gran / dad check out this link" didnt take a genius to.figure out whos address book was uploaded to unknown so what else was uploaded. Texts, emails, gps, photo gallery and sold to whoever wants it and all in the name of advertising. OS developers are allowing this shite to happen.
  21. Yes and maybe. Depends if thats one of the apps functions. You would never know unless they said so. Turn off location services and gps and look for other settings like share my location with apps and it wont get the info. Simples.
  22. The entire forums been pretty much dead for a few years now. Course fishing section used to be way more active than this.
