  3. Winter being my favoured time for them id say definitely get in about them. I havnt done much myself the past few years though. big oily baits and dont discount the lures completely its good to have to chuck a lure about your baits, helps with the boredom too.
  4. pretty neat I like their latest 3D maps. didnt expect it one day looking at glasgow. its crappy res but still a good effort tbf. I'll always remain suspicious of google though.
  5. Software I always do by hand, ive still not seen a decent backup program sucessfuly redeploy software without some sort of screwup somewhere. files and email I used a program called genie backup manager in my old office. havnt used it for a few years so dont know how it is now. now days on winblows I do files by hand too. everything important is in a seperate drive from the OS and backed up manually with a copy & paste with linux I just clone the entire thing OS and files, none this windows pish that wont work if you try clone the entire thing. windows 10 might have its own backup schedular ? would seem pretty daft not to in this day and age.
  6. You noticed that too huh Banters good for a forum. If you think this this warrants a report to mods then dont go on the pit you may faint I hope this doesnt get locked, that kinda stuff does kill a forum.
  7. So does that make you two the real experts ? ive seen this type of argument loads. im right your wrong, so called expert keyboard warrior throw in an odd lefty comment and come out looking all high and mighty. yes it does kinda hang to left but whats that got to do with anything.
  8. The title made me thnk he was a theif who was blind. What the.....
  9. He would be using it to boat out his hook bait/rig instead of casting to get extra distance
  10. people can be stupid you give them too much credit, you wouldnt catch me out in a £20-£30 inflatable dinghy in any conditions. more so taking a set of trebles out I was trying to fix an old outboard not that long ago, it was overheating. it took only 2-3 minutes for me to go out the harbour and around the back of an island to then head back to the harbour. by the time I had got to the back of the island the weather turned really horrible in the space of a few seconds while sheltered behind the island and as I emerged it got a bit scary with white horses all over the place (large white waves) powerful wind blowing towards me from where I had to get to, being side on to it felt like the boat was going to tip before I managed to point it nose first into the wind. a dinghy would have been trashed even only going out about 100-200 yards, to hell with that I pleaded with the outboard not to die on me while it boiled the cooling water coming out the tell tale. I had the foresight to take oars with me just incase. Its hardly a big water, 102 acres, 11-13ft in its deepest part.
  11. Plus the cost of a good life jacket. Keep in mind the waters being fished and the time of year. A £20 dinghy could be woefuly inadequate.
  12. Yes i do think the guy has a good point. Go for the cheaper option of a drifter float setup
  13. guilty, I like to eat the dry powder out of a chicken and mushroom pot noodle.
  14. Congrats ken i was struggling to name even one movie she was in never mind a good one.
  15. Still think its a windows 10 issue since everything else stays connected. good luck https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=windows+10+wifi+cuts+out+site:answers.microsoft.com
  16. Cory years ago they gave me a setup with some small cable device had one ethernet point on it and a seperate netgear wireless access point to plug in to said device.
  17. not sure if your serious. ive never had a warning and id say im a bit more offensive than you
  18. you are right to an extent depnding on where they lifted the photo from. There could be terms of use/copy/etc. Its not unreasonable to ask an admin that said pic be removed though. What i realy object.to is photos being used without permission for commercial gain. Was maybe last year on the pit some guide took one our members.photos and used it as a background photo on his site. Bang out of order imo since said photo was nothing to.do with the guide.
  19. Dunno. Have you opened it ?
  20. you might be surprised at what info is actually embeded into photos taken BY a phone. if the pic was taken BY a phone chances are its got loads of data in it. Dave Lumbs always catching folk out with GPS data embeded in exif data of trophy shots of fish get the file on to the PC and right click and select properties then select details. if your phone is modern (android for example) you can look for an "info" or "Details" option when looking at the pic.
  21. Mark Sarul contact@traditionalfisherman.com (according to his paypal donate button)
  22. A recent windows update has been messing up with internet connections (dhcp not working) supposed to be fixed now. Theres also been a rise in attacks against routers to find vulnerabilities in them. Mines has also been acting a bit screwed up lately with a barrage of attacks on some port i cant recall ( http://arstechnica.co.uk/security/2016/11/notorious-iot-botnets-weaponize-new-flaw-found-in-millions-of-home-routers/ )
  23. yeah we jocks are going to build an offshore wind farm in front of his golf course.
