  1. Nice one Andrew, that's a giant! Well deserved too, you've put a lot of time and effort in for that one.
  2. What a great session Rich. Good to see the reel doing the business..... a new rod too.....does the wife know
  3. I was thinking the same Tinca, your one is mint, and I doubt you could find a better example.....you jammy b****r.
  4. That's a lovely looking chub there Dan, what a start to the season. My first two fish of the season were chub too...neither over a pound though.
  5. Thanks Tigger, tbh I never imagined I'd get the sort of feedback I have had...it's been fantastic!
  6. At that weight I had imagined they were quite a bit smaller than the AN centrepin, but there's not a lot of difference in size, the AN pin being 4.1/2" dia. At 265 gms it sits some where in the middle weight wise..my match aerial is about 290gms and I think the Adcock Stanton is over 300gms .Tigger, if Your Grey's Bewick is under 200 gms it must look almost skeletal, that is very light, they must of done some serious lightening on it....it must be great to use. You haven't seen Richards yet!!!
  7. Hi Alan, I've put your name down . Not my field of expertise unfortunately Chris, what size are the Witcher and the Youngs Bob James reels.
  8. Hi Fruitloopy, I'll put your name down for one, just waiting for Elton to put them up on his site now.
  9. Only just seen this, thanks Ian . Not quite with it yet this morning.
  10. Thanks for the happy birthday Chavender. I haven't had any experience of the speedia but I'll take a look at it if you want and see what I can do. Andy. P.S. Couldn't see the photo, but it sounds interesting if it violates Photobuckets terms of use .
  11. Hi Rich, I believe he might be, but I am struggling with the St. George cross at the moment.
  12. Don't worry Leon, I'm sure the postman will have something for you soon . Cheer's, I'm looking forward to getting home now so I can enjoy it .
  13. I believe the reason the police were called was to report the possibility that these guys had stolen a dingy and outboard, good to see they got the EA involved too though. Here's a post from The Great Ouse Boating Association forum, 'Subject: Missing Dinghy ( New topic ) Posted by: Mark On: Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 12:21:31 travelled down the wissey on saturday and saw three eastern europeans camped and fishing. Interestingly they had a super fairley new looking dinghy with an even newer looking outboard. Phoned Norfolk police and they went and arrested them. So if you are missing a dinghy or outboard, Norfolk police have them. I know the make of the dinghy and outboard if you want to check with me first. EA fisheries have also been in touch so it seems to be a good result.'
  14. The only other clue to which is the biggest is the size of the smile of the captor.....that would make it no. 4
  15. Sorry about that Rich, the thing is though, I couldn't decide which one it was. At a guess I'd say no. 3, but no. 2 looked quite a lump too .
  16. I reckon the biggest one is about 9lb 4oz . They're all absolutely stunning fish!
  17. In this thread Budgie describes a mix using dessicated coconut, which I believe is the ingredient that makes it 'active'. Could be worth adding some to your current mix and see how it goes.
  18. You're welcome Steve, not a problem. Andy.
  19. Hi Peter, I'm a member through Ware AC but haven't fished there yet. When my renewal comes through I'll pop down and give it a go...I'll let you know how I get on.
  20. Hi Hermes, this is taken from the Lea Anglers Consortium website. From Hertford downstream to Aqueduct Lock has been deemed a river and as a consequence angling is allowed only in the open season for rivers. That is betweeen June 16th and March 14th inclusive. From Aqueduct Lock downstream all the way to Bow and the Bow Back rivers it is treated as a canal and thus allowing all year fishing.
  21. Nice report Andrew, sounds like a perfect evening .
  22. Genius  ......I've never been called that before. I'd love to give the chub on the Waveny a go, cheers Dan . Andy.
