  4. That sounds abit like the water i fish, full of weed with a few spots you have to aim at. Yeah boillies are expensive, maybe ebaycan provide cheaper ones, but then again may be not. STC
  5. How about some shelf life ones, bit cheaper but do the job. 10 fish not bad if it is a hard water like you say.
  6. That a couple of decent fish. The lake i am fishing at the moment has a 30lb common and a couple of 25lb+ ghosties :-)

  10. Go for the JRC, its always gunna be in the back of mind that the bivvy is not up to srcatch if you have it repaired.
  11. Me and my daughter put it up in the Garden and had a play. You may be able to get the reels on Ebay for less, god bless ebay. STC
  12. Shimano ST 6000RA, you can get a 10000 one as well. You can pick them up for between £45-£50 quid. As I only get out 3-4 times a year and i have tight budget. but well worth it. Had the STI out earlier in the garden, dam you get more room in there than I thought. STC Shimano ST 6000RA, you can get a 10000 one as well. You can pick them up for between £45-£50 quid. 15. Anything by mainline is always good.
  16. Good luck with the tenching, let me know how you get on. To tell you the truth I have never caught a tench and i have been fishing for 15yrs. Strange but true. Caught loads of bloody eels, caught a real big one once 8lbsish. Slimed my line and rod up well. Bye STC

  22. Legendary Goonch, a ferocious catfish rumored to be a man-eater. Known as the Giant Devil Catfish, this vicious fighter is believed to have developed a taste for human flesh by feeding on burnt bodies from funeral pyres in India Read more: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/seri...w#ixzz0y0PMY4qp This bad boy would wake you up in the morning. 23. You can indeed, may be getting one this month for the extra 50 squid you get a good bit of stability and protection. One niggle with the force 8 is that it does not keep the warmth in as well as other twin skins. STC
  24. Cant jelp with any of the above but i have used the tfg Force 8 one man for 3yrs, never had any probs in what ever the weather. I know that some people hate them and others love them. I did a review and Elton put it somewhere i am sure if you ask him or do a search you will find it. I am looking at a new Bivvy myself, gunna get the JRC Twin skin one man, bit more expensive but i think its worth it. Hope that helps STC
  25. I take high energy snack food and a decent meal in the evenings when i do 48hrs+ I use http://www.westlerfoods.com/Wayfayrer.html Easy to cook in the bag or eat cold, generally get a curry or some thing and take cook in the bag rice and i also get a dessert. Fills me right up, and i tend to eat alot when i go fishing as my mate comments on all the time. But i tend to use a lot of energy fishing so i eat lots. I take Bacon (lots) Sauages (sometimes) Bread dried fruit (Vit c) Sweet for energy and lifting the old sugar level chocolate Wayfayrer meals Biscuits Crisps fruit tea coffee May seem like alot but i find that when things are not happening and you are not getting any bites or action its best to keep the sugar levels up and you tend to stay more positive or i do. Hope that helps STC
