  1. Mick brown has said that Matt is one of the best all round anglers he has ever met. Thats good enough for me.
  2. I went through high school with DC and know him really well. It is shocking some of the things that go on behind the scenes. To name a fwe when he was with Williams and hill was his team mate he was on pole position in Hungary. Hill was 2nd on the grid and the team were ordered by Frank Willaims to overheat DCs tyres at that start (turning temp up few degrees in tyre warmers) so that he would not get away as quickly as Hill. It woked a treat and Hill wont the racs. DC was 2nd and was furious on the podium. Ron Dennis does not like him at all after an incident with Rons wife, i cant say to much more about it on a forum. Remember the time in Australia when DC pulled over to let Mikka win? well DC and Dennis werre arguing for 7 laps before he did it. DC refused at 1st but Dennis said over radio if he never then it would be his last race for McLaren. He was supposed to make it look like it was a legitamite overtaking manouverre but he deliberatly slowed right down on the final straight to let eveyone know that he was doing it under orders. Hes not in the same league as Schumi but he is a great river and one hell of a nice bloke too.
  3. Ive been lucky enough to live in Dumfries and Galloway all my life. Another plus point about here is that its virtually crime free.
  4. A friend I know got a camera for Xmas and would like me to ask the forum members if they could help with a problem. The camera worked fine at Xmas time when she used it for a few days, but there seems to be a problem now a few months later. The camers is a Vivicam 5385 X3 optical zoom model. The problem is when she tries to turn it on. All that happens is the little red light thats beside the viewfinder flashes approx 50 times very quickly and then nothing happens after that. She has tried changing the batteries several times but to no avail and they definatly are in the correct way. Thanks in advance for any help offered .
  5. Its actually an unofficial Scottish record Budgie. It can not be claimed though as (you ready for this) all record claims must be returned alive, but all Ruffe caught must be killed. Why they cant allow Ruffe to be claimed dead is beyond me. It weighed 4.22 oz. The british record is just over 5oz I believe. It wasnt caught im Lomond Budgie, it was caught from a river in SW Scotland.
  6. Thanks for avice everyone, great forum this.
  7. Think ill win it with this fish i caught yesterday? lol
  8. Im quite a lazy angler at times when fishing the quivertip. It starts to do my head in at times sitting transfixed to the tip on some days. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good bolt rig set up for Roach. The fish average about 12oz in the water Im fishing. Id also appreciate a company that produces a good sharp hook for this set up. Many thanks in advance.
  9. It has been claimed as a record and quite unbelievably so. What an idiot this mans making himself look, but I suppose we should be used to this type by now.
  10. I never get sick of saying this....41lb 2 oz
  11. You told him that you would exchange him for a Polish fella who who do the job fot a quarter of the price?
  12. Miller??? what a Pu$sy, try a mans drink like Stella
  13. Im totally envious of nearly all the pictures posted on this forum. Ive never seen quality like it. Can I ask what cameras that you use and the price ranges of them please. Loooks like a new camera is on the agenda, Thanks in advance
  14. TubularBelle, we werent trying to catch the Fox, but I can see by the position of the net why you asked. Rabster, thats my mate in the pic and I took the shot. This happened miles away from any town or village and this Vixen was feeding cubs. She came back and forth all day and all night long. In the end we were feeding her Twix and Digestive biscuits lol As for pike fighting like a house bricks, that King Kong pike fought like a demon mate! When she surfaced I thought it was the raising of the Titanic!
  15. My mobile number is 07813457629 and at some stage of my life ive been every one of those ages..FREAKY eh?
  16. I carry out discplinnarys at my work anad it only stays on your record for 6 months. You can sack someone for poor attendance though even if it means bypassing verbal, written and final written warning.
  17. At one time I used them regularly and the only problem I found with them was the bottom end snapping on the strike. This happened far to often for my liking and was extremly costly. One thing I must say in there favour was they saved a lot of time faffling around in certain situations. On one water I fished which had a bottom that consisted of peaks and troughs the Polaris found the exact depth everytime. This could never be done in confidence with a standard set up.
  18. Hi galloway, Im also from your region and we do have more Goosanders on our inland waters than we do Cormorants. i still dont think there is enough to cause any real problems at the moment, but who knows what might happen in the future. What water do you run if you dont mind me asking?
  19. Right, attention all lure anglers. Do you realise the risk when using lures with more than one treble? a 1000 times more likely to cause eye damage over grass. Keep it real lads
  20. HAD TO ADD THIS ONE lol
  21. A Brambling Id guess.
  22. Ive just read through this thread and its almost laughable. Grass blinding Pike? Seen it all now. Jeepster your application for the Piking police job is in the post
