  1. Stopping people from drinking seems like a good idea. If someone could stop them from eating, too, it could be a solution for the over population problem.
  2. national fishing month sounds like a good idea. Perhaps we could follow it up with a national breathing month?
  3. Walking home from the pub last week, I was jumped by a cockle and a couple of whelks. They should lock them up, too.
  4. They didn't find the 12 roker in the car behind him, though!
  5. Fat bloke down the pub caught 20 stone of codling and dogfish the other day and he didn't get any money at all.
  6. Where can I buy a ticket? 2 -1 odds seems pretty good to me.
  7. Anyone ever caught a roker on a fly?
  8. Don't forget, these are Aussie carp we're talking about here, Newt!
  9. Bring me some back, please, Elton. Jellied preferably, but stewed will do.
  10. Can't wait to hear you on Keith Arthur's show, Bob. He'll have you signed up to the Angling Trust before the programme's finished.
  11. Good advice from Captain Cojones, Bob. I'd take it if I were you. Good luck, you'll need it.
  12. So, this Euan Cameron is a real person, is he? Only, for someone who deems himself qualified to preach to others about the rights and wrongs of fishing, I would have expected his name to have cropped up once or twice over the years - and yet I've never heard of him. Maybe he is another incarnation of Plugger, the bass society's very own Stig?
  13. Yet another misrepresentative body that is doomed to fail, because it is more interested in commercial fishing than it is angling. When will these people ever learn?
  14. Hi. Does anyone have an old Abu 7000 or 7000c that they want to sell? Doesn't have to be in mint condition, (not too knocked about, though!), but must be in good working order. You can either send me a private message or email me at steviecops@aol.com Thanks. Steve
  15. An anti commercial fishing stance doesn't benefit anyone. It just makes it easier for the decision makers to steamroller ahead with new restrictions and regulations, with minimum opposition. There are people who are supposed to be representing the best interests of sea anglers who are hell bent on getting commercial fishing banned, (I know, it's laughable), at any cost to sea angling.
  16. I would imagine that the vast majority of sea anglers haven't even heard of the Angling Trust.
  17. Maybe they know something we don't?
  18. Too many anglers are whipped into a frenzy of hatred for commercial fishermen by those with ulterior motives.
