Scoop (aka Carl Panton, 24 from Lincolnshire) has recently lost his 1 year battle with Leukaemia. Carl was an explicitly keen Carp angler and belonged to a number of syndicate waters in Lincolnshire, posting frequently on this board. RIP mate.

hey there son, I personally would go for the battery powered everytime. One of my mates once had a Coleman erupt, taking out his bivvy and giving him third degree burns from the scrotum up . This is just my personal opinion but that is enough to keep me from buying them! Nash do some very practical clip on lights and those chargeable lanterns, fully charged give enough for a weekender. Hey guys can anyone recommend a safe boilie needle? I have used fox, drennan and gardner models, all with the same catastrophic results. I have a problem with my hands, they shake uncontrollably in cold conditions and as a result, i have had to have no less than 5 needles removed from my index finger. I am affectionately known as 'hook finger' at my local A and E and its starting to get extremely embarrassing. Any input would be gratefully received. BigSid
