  1. Yes. Popular in the states, but want to scale it down so after a bare rig. Failing that I may well make one.
  2. Blank rig wanted. Cant find UK seller.
  3. In my local estuary I notice the boat guys anchor and then cast and spin lures over the reef. I would like to fish the same area on the drift. Any tips on how to fish this area. Also is it possible to jig for bass on slack water like for mackeral? when I am unable to drift with current. So far my idea is to use a weight on a boom, long trace and eddy eel. I however think some use a bubble float and eddy eel. I also have a Bass Bandit, but never used it? Any tips or ideas would be appreciated as I want to avoid anchoring and stick to artificial lures. Thankyou.
  4. Have to replace a 3 part 9ft travel rod (masterline). The rods been fine, except saltwater use and storage in garage has seen the end of all the line eyelets. Just seems to have fallen apart this year and too many eyes to make it worth repairing. Interested in a 5 or 6 part 9ft rod. Shakespear Expedition 20-60g seems the best value, but there are others out there to choose from. I don't mind paying more for something that may last longer with saltwater use. Any ideas / advice? It will be salt water use (Bass main target). Do any have better made eyelets than others as this seems to be where my rods fail. Cheers.
  5. Will be in Fuerteventura Easter time. Fishing from Corellejo from Harbour area (as it swings around towards the North Track.. although if its flat may get the rod out at Cotillo or along the Track). Will only have the rod out if its calm. I will be taking a plugging rod so want to take some lures. Any ideas? (I have no idea what fish frequent this coast). I was guessing I'd take some feathers, Silver Bass Wedge and maybe a surface lure? Also would be nice to drink the local beer and sit back and watch the float. Any idea on what baits? I figure bread for any Mullet that may pass, or fresh prawns / white bait .. left over from feeding the family. I know about the local regs! , but need a bit of guidance. Just planning on some easy fishing and relaxation! THANKS
  6. A chance I may get to fish next week. I expect spinning is a waste of time. To early for Bass on a bait? Thanks.
  7. thanks for the help from everyone. I had seen these ebay rods, but didn't know what to expect from an ebay rod! I will certainly consider these now. Thanks.
  8. Thanks Steve, Thats the kinda rod I'm after, but just don't have the budget to buy new. I guesse this are rods that people keep hold of! I have a 3 part spining / plug rod but need something just a little more compact.
  9. I am looking for a 4,5 or 6 part travel spinning rod pref. 1 - 3oz for Bass fishing. Has anyone outgrown one that they can sell 2nd hand? Ideally with a tube case. Thankyou.
  10. I have a Petzl LED headtorch. Fine for work close to you, and long battery life but no guts to the beam and difficult to see any distance. After a 2nd head torch with some power! Around the £60 mark. Rechargeable battery. Not sure if to put my trust in LED technology or go halogen bulb like in the old days! Can anyone point me towards a something suitable? Thanks
  11. Have some holes in my Yak from removed fittings. At the moment have slapped some sealant over the holes. Want some tidy fittings just to plug the screw holes. Any ideas , fittings to plug these small holes? Cheers.

    First paddle

Love Ladram Bay, but now up on the north coast. Charging a kayak is madness! , and the last time I was there they would still try it on! After paying for the campsites car park!! , they want more for the slip! What a Joke. I tended to park in the town, and paddle to the stacks. , lure in tow! I used to pull out good pollock here on the rubber eels. Paddle straight out from the stacks to deeper water with a red gill. Good luck.
  13. Fair current, but sticking to two hours on the bottom or top of the tide and sticking to the smaller tides reckon it is fishable in a yak. I know the boat anglers are pulling out good bass. Anyone else fishing the estuary mouth?
  14. I have a 3.1m Zodiac, which I would like to use for inshore fishing during the summer. Can be beach launched on Transom wheels or carried, but need some info on where this is allowed? Does anyone know which beaches in Cornwall and Devon don't have bylaws prohibiting the launching of a boat with outboard. North or South coasts. Thanks.
  15. Looking for a 3m inflatable pref with an outboard 8 - 15hp ish! Please email details. Cash ready.
