  4. Thanks for you quick reply, I'll have a look at photo bucket. My entries were shot on 020206 is this not in the open period as stated? The first photo as stated was not an entry, just to see if i could actually upload, as i know little about computors.
  5. Hi, I'm newish to computors and they really baffle me. When posting a photo I seem to have to reduce it down to almost nothing to upload and then when viewing, the quality seems much less, compared to some exellent quality, and size on the same pages. My question:- How do I upload a larger image, whilst staying in the 500 x 700 and 150 kb limit. See my entry on page 2 of the photo challenge, and you'll see what i mean. Thanks
  6. Olympus mu (mini) dead basic, top quality, also does short vids. Fits in shirt pocket size. Approx £120 from makro.
  7. Canon EOS 500N, used only for slide film nowadays, Canon EOS 300D Sunpak Flash gun(rarely used) Canon EFS 18-55 digital lens Canon EF 28-80 lens Canon EF 75-300 lens 2 x Extralite off camera flash Normally shoot in AV mode, and alter ISO rating to suit natural light rather than use flash. Print and crop direct from camera because I don't have the fainest idea how to use comp to alter images
  8. I'm new to computors, know almost nothing about anything related to computors, and would welcome open armed absolutly anything that will help me improve my photography, and secondly my computing. Unfortunatly it needs to be in idiot guide formule for me! The idea of buying a comp was to learn, and improve my digital photographs, I've been digital little over 1 year, but used an SLR for over 10. So here I am: feed me There must me more out there wanting the same? Regards Andy

    I'm So Excited

I don't do much on macro, but when I do I use the jessops filters (58mm) + series, just screw in like a filter at the front and gives +1, +2, +3, +4, times magnification. Only usable on macro and I find best used on AV settings. Regards Andy

    I'm So Excited

Hello, 1st post. Hope I'm not teaching my dad to have kids here, but did you know, if your using the Canon EOS digital you can interchange lenses within the EOS system. Have a look on the front of your camera, the location mark for digital lenses is white. Non digital lenses location mark is red. Using a non digital lense gives about 1 & 1/2 times magnification ( I think). So a basic 28 - 80 will give you 42 - 120, and a 75 - 300 about 112 - 450. These lenses are now available for pennies second hand, and reasonable cost new. Lots cheaper than the equivlant digital lense, just as good quality/versatility. Regards Andy
