  1. Here are the pics, contact me if you are interested.
  2. Sorry that would help wouldnt it. Ita a Ocean kayak Scrambler XT, think 12 foot, sit on top with seat, 1 hatch with cover in front, paddle and 1 Scotty flyrod holder. Life jacket If I sell it the fishfinder has to go as well Eagle Cuda 168 the boat has a few scratches on the hull from beaching but no leaks or holes. And no bait smells I flyfish and thats the reason for sale here, cant use it on the lakes here to fish. Ill get some pics tomorrow and post them
  3. Whats your budget, I have an Ocean Kayak with fishfinder that I might be getting rid of.
  4. I am all with you, I have a XT as well and rigged it with rod holders, GPS and fish finder and have fished it in a lot in the States (Boston and New Jersey) in good and very bad weather, not a problem. There are faster kayaks out there but this ia stable enough to cast from standing, love it.The 12 foot lenth gives you more speed and the stability as well. It can take a beating and still stay afloat. the only other kayak for me would be the kayaks from Wilderness sys they are good as well.
  5. I hope this is not an old question but I had a quick look in search and did not find to much... Where can I buy rod building hardware in the UK, mostly eyes, and cork? It will have to be online i just dont want to go the American route as it can get complicated with the VAT and import duty, slowing things down as well. Thanks for any info.
  6. I have done this for Black Bass before, big top popper and sinking fly tied 18inches behind in the bend of the hook. Does two things - weight of the sinking fly keeps the popper head up and pops very well that way and I caught more bass on the sinking fly, I think the popper attracts them and then they see the sinking fly and grab that. I always used a big Mrs Sinpson or woolly bugger. I think you get less tangles with this method.
  7. Hi I was wondering if anyone knew a place where I can take my little girl, two years and seven months old to fish( I am in Reigate Surrey ) She has been asking for the last few months and even has her own flyrod not that she can cast but I will help with that. Its an old broken 3 piece that is now a two piece. It would have to be a place where they have a kind of kiddie pond and easy to catch, she is to active to sit for too long without getting bored. Any help would be appretiated.
  8. Hi All I am planning on going to Weymouth on Sunday and was wondering if anyone can give me any advise? I only flyfish so I have a lot of Clousers and Charlies in various colours. Whats the best time and where is the best to go. Thank you Leon
  9. Sorry to say I wont be able to get there.... Hopefully next time.
  10. I know this is probably not the recomended way but I always put my lines coiled up(Rolled and loosely held with pipecleaners) in a pillowcase in the washing machine and then I just run them through a cloth with Silicone agent. Works for me and the silicone makes them slick and fast for long casts. Been doing this for years and seems ok.
  11. OK I only read some of the posts and was going to read them better onece I know a flyrod will work there(Thats all I do) The Yak is ready and I just have to look at a map. I am in Reigate so I dont even know how far it is... The main thing is can I flyfish?
  12. I was wondering if there are any reservoirs in the south where you can flyfish from your Kayak????? I phoned Rutland and was told you can only use their boats and I am not interested in that, I wondered if it is teh same with the reservoirs down here? Any comments and advise will be appretiated.
  13. I was wondering about my options this weekend, I am in Reigate and was hoping to get out with the Yak south of here. I was hoping to through a fly around but do not know where and what for. I would appretiate any advise. Thanks Leon
