Can anyone tell me how to attacha file onto here? Each time I try it tells me that I'm over my global limit. How do I change this? Steve.

Sportfish is in Reading. There's also Peter Cockwill: Albury Game Angling The Street, Albury Surrey, GU5 9AG (bought my gear there - excellent service). Also, just to add, when I went there Peter gave me around 8 rods to go out and cast with. First though, he removed the price tags and asked me to tell him which was the better rod for me. Ended up with a Greys for a fraction of the price of some of them, so I'd definately agree that price isn't everything. Hope this helps, Steve.

I've had the Cortland 444's (both floating and intermediate) for around 3 years now and they still cast superbly. When I next buy I'll stick with them - worth every penny. Steve.

Hello all, I'm thinking of selling my sea gear and would appreciate some advice on the price I can expect for it. It consists of : 1 x Abu 6500 Mag Elite 1 x Daiwa Slosh 30 1 x Daiwa TDXS 129PM 1 x Greys Nor-easter (used once only). 1 x Oddpod rod-rest. 1 x Shakespeare box with breakaway back. It was 35 for two. Its not a reguar occurance by any means. Its kind of a special occassion place. Unfortunately, her in Hants I find I have to pay an awful lot more than I did up north. I think with the right conditions and for a treat it is worth it yeah.

I decided that I'd fish it on Monday - good weather forecast and decent reports from the staff there. I arrived at 0915 - 2 hours after I set off from Gosport!!!!! I wen for a good walk around but I was gutted to discover that the second and third lakes were a very cloudy blue. I've never seen anything like that before, and it was a real shame that it meant stalking in those lakes was out of the question. I headed back to the first lake and spotted a couple of nice fish but no monsters. Anyway, the long and the short of it is I came away with my 2 fish limit - a 5lb 12oz, and a 7lb 4oz (PB). I was a happy chappy after all!! I'll definitely return, but I'll make sure that the water clarity has improved next time. Steve.

Thanks fellas, I'll let you know how I get on if I do go....weather permitting. I've no got much experience of stalking - I did most of my fishing at Lockwood Beck in North Yorkshire....slightly different. I have visited Avington once before - last summer.....it was pretty busy and unfortunately most people stuck to one spot. The fish seemed to gather at the top of lake two. Also, the water was full of weed. If there is anyone out there who would like to impart some stalking knowledge on me, then I'll be willing to learn. Thanks for the welcome, Steve.

Hello all. As you probably guessed from the title, I'm new to the site. I've been fly fishing on and off for about 7 years. I'm thinking of going up to Avington next tuesday. I was wondering if anyone's fished it recently, and if so what patterns and methods worked. Cheers, Steve.
