Thank you, one and all for your tips and help I particularly like the idea of using the marine sealant as it is fairly permanent, non messy and still leaves the possibility of trying again if I mess up (inevitable). This seems a very friendly forum.

Hi all, first time here and need tips for mounting an Eagle Cuda transducer. The manual says to stik it to the hull with epoxy but it has a curved base, any tips or advice welcomed before I go ahead and ruin the thing. Also I notice a lot of talk about anchor reels etc.and thought you might be interested in my solution which is to use a dvers wreck reel. Mine has 80m of 85kg line and was picked up on ebay for £19. It locks in position when you've got enough line out and is easy to retrieve.
