  1. Ok Andrew, I'll bring all 3 along, just incase anyone wants the other 2
  2. God I have to put up with you in there as well as Elton What swim are you in on the carp lake? Just I need someone closeby to take some photos of the carp I'm going to catch lol
  3. I'm bringing 2 x 48" extending storm rods and 2 x 30" storm rods with me. If anyone wants to borrow 3 x Shimano 8000GTE baitrunners with 10lb line, you'll need to let me know by tomorrow evening as the car will be packed up ready tomorrow night for a friday morning departure. I also have a spare delkim if anyone needs it?
  4. Probably wingham villiage if wunderground lists it, Steve
  5. I use 10lb mono and a 30/40lb shockleader when spodding, imho theres no need to use braid on a spod reel as mono does a good enough job, and for the amount of time the spod is in the water, the mono won't sink too far and cause a problem. Also when clipping up with braid, you run the risk of cracking off due to the lack of stretch, with mono, you have plenty of stretch to prevent that. Also mono is less affected by side winds than braid is.
  6. Just keeps getting better, I can't wait to get up there now lol
  7. John, the best advise that I can give on the coarse lake is to listen to the wingham members and the bayliffs, they know the lake inside out and will show you all the right spots in your allocated swim. When I fished it a couple of years ago, I had several tench to 9lb plus on hair rigged single 10mm boilies, but I was originally on the carp lake, but moved due the carp spawning, so never had other baits/groundbait with me. As for loose feed, I found that little and often was the key to catching, pile it in and the fish seem to move on, I was using crushed boilies in medium sized pva bag and maybe 20/25 catapulted whole boiles per rod.
  8. The missus' 15 year old daughter found my stash of pva nuggets and this was the result, and yes she's 15
  9. Anything coming out of the carp lake Steve? Or it's no one fishing on there?
  10. No, still on the older virgin system, with the smaller "cable modem" and seperate router, I have another pc and laptop connected and it's only the one pc thats affected.

    Fish in

Wasn't they reincarnated into something that's usually cute and furry, and for retribution it attacks the owner of the site?
  12. I've done a but of eel fishing in the past and have always found that very light leads (0.5oz or less) and minimal resistance on the baitrunner, almost like the bale arm on the reel is open to be the best way, I also never touched the rod until the eel started its second run, (they grab the bait on their mouths and move away to safety to swallow the bait), strike as easy as possible on the second run and it shouldn't be deep hooked. However, I never used worms, I always used roach heads, where I fished the eels seemed to prefer them. I also used a long shank hook pattern, as this seemed to prevent deep hooking, using the above methods, I've had eels up to 6.5lbs
  13. Latest version of the drivers are installed
  14. Right specs first: OS: Win 7 x64 Ultimate SP1 CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9500 MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA78G-UD3H RAM: 6GB DDR2-800 GFX: Nvidia GeForce 9500GT 512MB The main problem is that whenever I watch any flash based movies such as youtube, the flash player crashes, I have the latest player installed (version 11.2.202.235). and its been crashing since the first update to version 11. It crashes in IE9 and Firefox 12.0, it will crash 4-5 times, each time it makes the browser hang and I'm unable to do anything like close it down or open a new tab, after the 4.5.6th time it'll start playing the video. I have uninstalled flash player several times, doing a file and registry cleanup each time, but still I have the problems. Anyone have any ideas?
  15. The skysport t4yf is the original one that came with the mk1 microcat Steve, not the tv4f, thats whats came with my "cat" anyway.
  16. I have 3 x shimano baitrunners loaded with 10lb line, 2 long banksticks/stormrods and 2 shorter ones if anyone needs them?
  17. Does that mean that the sites going to throw tantrums and start saying "that's so unfair", "I'm not your slave", and "i hate you"?
  18. What you need is a Futaba Skysport T4YF 4 channel, 40mhz transmitter, in fact any 4 channel, 40mhz transmitter "should" work if you have the correct crystal in the transmitter (handset)
  19. Replied via email Steve will look into it when I get home from work
  20. I really need to get down the lakes more often lol
  21. The discos are known to have weak sensors and can put the light on if you hit a bump in a certain way. The jarring of the bump causes the magnet inside to momentarily stick and put on the warning lights, and the lights stay on due to the ecu registering and logging a problem, 9 times out of 10 theres not usually a genuine problem and just deleting the codes usually works.
  22. They will not suck all the oil out of the engine, and the dipstick will only show the last 1.5/2 litres of oil from being full as most dipsticks are a litre of oil between the min and max marks. The only way to ensure that all the oil is drained is to put an engine flush in prior to draining the oil which will help to break down any sludge in the sump, although mercs don't really suffer from that, then you need to open the oil filter cap if it's on the top of the engine to allow the dirty oil to drain into the sump, then drain the oil via the sump plug, but do not allow it to drain/remain empty of oil for more than 15/20 minutes as with mercs if you leave it too long you will not be able to get oil pressure as the oil pump gets airlocked. Imo those pumps should only be used as a last resort eg when the sump plug is knackered, or the engine is overfilled, never to drain the oil from the engine.
  23. I can't fault virgin, been with them for 3 years, and only 3 times have I lost internet access, but it was back on within a few hours each time. At the moment I'm on their 20meg connection, but in a few months I'm getting a free upgrade to 60meg
