Hello, I'm after 2 rod's for deep drop fishing (100 to 150metres) from a boat in Greece. I need both rods to have a line rating of 100lb+. One rod with guides and not rollers, but the other rod may have all rollers. Rods budget, £150 each. My friends are fishing with a line of 5 or 6 hooks I'm thinking of using a Penn Senator 114HLW, Newell 646 3.2, reel and 100lb rated line. People have mentioned Penn Stand-up rods, Shimano Trevala Jigging rods, Diawa Eliminator rods, I'm confused... Any ideas, or do I need to supply more info? Thanks, Mark.

Hello, I'm off to Greece and I'm not sure which rod to buy. I was going to purchase a Shimano STC Exage Trolling Rod 50Lb with Rollers. Requirements: Use on a Boat Road for lures/feathers (fish of 10lb plus on multiple hooks), Small casts off rocky out-crops, Price must be under £150, Must fit in a large suitcase. Any ideas? Hi, thanks for the replies... I chose the rod due its size and strength for boat fishing with a trace/lures etc. I wanted a rod to pack it into my suitcase, so size was important. Is there a more flexible alternative? I'll cheack out the lures next. Thanks again, Mark.

Hi, I'm going to be fishing with a Greek friend, between Rhodes and Marmaris (Turkey) in June/July. I've always been a course fisherman so am fairly new to sea fishing, so please excuse my ignorance. I'm planning to buy a Beastmaster STC Travel Trolling rod (50lb with rollers) and 50lb line of some description. What tackle/line/lures should I purchase? Any advice welcomed. Thank you, Mark.
