  1. Hi prowler long time. not been down to halcot place lately then, full of the blighters...
  2. Been away a while so hello all. I have after many many good years of service decided my reals need to be replaced. question is what with? recomendations (not gold plated) for 1 fixed spool for spinning and beach work 1 x mulitpier for same and boat work help appreciated hello to the Jersey beans will have to have a bash very soon. If tide no good the beer.....
  3. Thought you would be ok with this, surely you would send down 4 skin divers would have clmed the critter right down.
  4. Thank you simon thought for the moment was going mad, we spent a lot of time on this before pity people do not seach and read.
  5. As the site and quote "While a steady white light or hand held flashlight is all that is commonly required of kayakers, navigation lights add to your visibility. Check your local boating rules for more info." This is the from the US not UK. Remember Nav lights are for information of what you are, and confusion can create accidents.
  6. Loosing your cool, in that manner only reinforces the bung poing of view. Then again George and zippy from memory were were controled by someone elses hand, and they bungled around. PLus it does not matter how many posts people have. Seems you gang thought you had the biggest conkers in the play ground. shame they were only acorns. And i thought this site liked criticism. remember in posts gone by someone got a red card for coments like you have just made.
  7. OMG the mind boggles at the thought, and theres me just finished a Balti. two belts required tonight and nail down the douvet.
  8. i agree mate just having a laugh, have you read neils post?
  9. Dave do we need anothe rwarning such as neil posted, how many farts does it take to give more bouyancy?
  10. May be so, and saying so is ok but i feel that stating who will sell them is a sales pitch and if they wish to sell then their is a way of doing it without using a forum like this, may be Agent might just wish to place a sponer link on the forum instead of posting as such. But how nuch would that cost? We can all make our own mind as to who and were we purchase items and post links to sites that assist.
  11. another sales technique, can this forum please be resticted to none sales or assosiated posts for the promotion of sales and deal with the issues requested.
  12. please read the previous exaustive post on Navigation lights. You only need the white, unless you are going to add an outboard or full rigged sail to your yak. If you are please add images for our amusement.
  13. I agree great trial and conclusion as such i enclose a slice pie for those who wish to eat some.
  14. after 20 years experiance in lead acid batteries and Yuasa, the recomendation is to have the battery in the upright orientation. they will still work but with experiance it pays to follos the rules. Please note that this applies to the charging position. constantly check the battery for deformation, i.e. swelling as this will show signs of overcharge and cell degregation. Yuasa is my prefered brand and manufacturer though people do use yucel, from tried and tested experiance these are far poorer quality cells and the charge held fails more. As the previous comment allways ensure the right charger is used.
  15. Hope all goes well for you if you still need the local melitia just shout.
