  1. 2012 - Update We have moved our season start date forward to 1st April as we felt that 1st June was a bit late in the year to start. So hopefully this earlier date will be more appealing to new members, plus we have frozen the annual fee. New applications are already coming in! Join us now! Dave
  2. We have had a busy season so far and taken on 3 new venues for this season and we still have memberships available if anyone is interested. Our website has loads of information about the club, the venues, the fish etc etc, so check it out. Here's a quick bit of blurb about us..... A friendly fishing club, which offers excellent fishing in Kent and Sussex for all types of fishermen on a wide range of fishing lakes and rivers. Formed in 1951, the Club has grown over the years into what it is today, an angling club with 500+ members and a fantastic choice of fishing lakes and rivers in Kent and Sussex. Our waters can accommodate all types of coarse anglers including Match Anglers, Carp Anglers and not forgetting a large group of anglers who purely fish for pleasure. With 10 different venues and an affiliation the the Rother Fisheries Association that adds 18 miles of the Rother and Royal Military Canal to our exlusive waters, we are the best value club around. Adult fee is £73, Senior Citizens/Intermediates is £36 and Juniors is only £28. How many times can you go to a commercial fishery for that money? Our waters are quiet, uncrowded and well maintained to a natural state. You can join any time of the year, so what are you waiting for? Check out the Cranbrook Angling Club website for loads more information, including how to join us. www.cranbrookanglingclub.co.uk
  3. Cranbrook and District Angling Club is offering a reward of £7500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of poachers that netted and stole specimen fish and left other fish to die on the bank on one of our club waters in November. The reward money includes: £500 put forward by our friends at Linton Angling Society £500 by Carp-Talk magazine £500 by Chris Lodgson at Mid Kent Fisheries £5000 by Angling Times magazine It is hoped that other angling clubs in the South East will join us in offering a reward; we are all at risk from these sorts of criminals. Other clubs or fishery owners that wish to pledge a reward or anybody wishing to pass on information regarding this matter should please contact Kevin Webb, Cranbrook and District Angling Club Secretary, at info@cranbrookanglingclub.co.uk All information received will be treated in strictest confidence and will be handed over to the Police, the Environment Agency and the Angling Trust.
  4. Cranbrook & District Angling Club is situated in the heart of the Weald of Kent and offers excellent angling for all types of fishermen on a wide range of venues. A picturesque estate lake, 2 reservoirs, several farm lakes, 2 small drains, a stretch of the River Rother, and all water controlled by the Rother Fishery Association are available to members to fish. WHAT CAN YOU CATCH? Our waters hold a wide variety of fish including: Carp to 30lb+ Pike to 30lb+ Tench to 8lb+ Bream to 10lb+ Roach and Rudd to 2lb+ Perch, Eels, Gudgeon and Chub.
