  1. I needed that laugh and good luck finding your testies. I'm in tears LOL LOL LOL
  2. Well we went out on Saturday on a tournament on Lower Buckhorn. We finished in 4th place with 16.2lbs on a wild and great day. It was a tough day but we managed some good fish with a bunch of smaller ones. They were caught on Phenix tubes, Phenix Chubby worms, terminator spinnerbaits, frog baits in white and black, and also the new Title Shot Jig performed well. We were fishing deep water drop offs with rock and weed transition and also milfoil and pad beds with blow ins and slop. Also got a great fish off a boat on a dock. The fish seemed to be scattered everywhere but we couldn't find that perfect pattern but are very happy with our 3rd top ten finish of the year. Here's a nice 4.65lb largie
  3. You can check out the lures at www.jigfish.com if you want.
  4. I have mine on as well just in case for emergencies.
  5. If anyone is looking for some particular bass gear let me know and I can see what I can find here for ya!!!
  6. Sorry I have not responded earlier as I should of. Hope you enjoyed the pics. As I have said in my intro I am just looking to exchange information and have fun and hopefully meet a few friends. Myself being Canadian should not affect anything as I believe we are all Fishing People so race, nationality, creed should not be an issue. look forward to more posts.
  7. Went out on the weekend with my dad for some bass fishing. Eventhough the weather and conditions were not great I couldn't believe the fishing we had. We lost count at how many bass we caught for the weekend but the action was the best I have had all year so far. I was fortunate enough to try out some new lures this weekend. They are INCREDIBLE!!!! We were fishng a 8 ft milfoil bed with the new 3/16 and 1/2oz Title Shot Jig from Fin-tech with a 4 inch worm and POW!! nice largie to start the day. Well the action was AWESOME with these new jigs. We tried different plastics like Yamamoto's spider grubs, Phenix Tubes, Phenix Chubby Worms, Berkley worms, Phenix Craws. All the lures were easy to put on the jig and it was great to fish weedless on weedlines and thick mat. The paint on the heads stood up great, the weedles keeper was excellent and the hooks were razor sharp. These have to be the best and easiest jig I have fished to produce great action and the hook up ratio was 100% Wow!!! Here are a few more largies that we caught on the weekend. After we ponded the buckets my dad wanted to try some smallmouth fishing and the New Nuckle Ball jigs 7/32oz black head from Fin-Tech. Again WOW!!! We used Phenix grubs, tubes and also spider grubs to entice some great action and huge smallies!!! The rods and reels were Shimano Compre's and Crucials with 2500 Stradics and also the new Curado's using Fins PRT braid in 10lb-30lb test. Here are some of the smallies that we caught. This was a great weekend and these new lures are going to be hot!! They are easy to use and fish through rock and weed great. My dad wants the rest of the ones I have already. They definatley have a permanent place in my tackle box and recommend others to try them unless I am fishing against you in a tourney then just let me use them.
  8. We were out catching a bunch of smallmouth bass on the weekend and then my dad said hey I got a huge on on. We were fishing a rock point with Phenix plastic tubes. It pulled drag off my Shimano Stradic for a while and we chased the fish in the boat for a little ways till he caught this.
  9. Well just got back From Rice Lake and the fishing was on fire. The weather could not have been better and the Largie cooperated big time . Fish were taken on the new Spro Frog, Phenix Tubes, and Phenix Chubby Worms. The set ups I was using was Shimano Crucial 7 ft and 7ft 6 flipping sticks with Shimano Castaic and the new Curado with 30 & 50 lb Fins PRT Braid. All fish were CPR and left for another day to be caught hopefully when I am in a tourney. Lost count to how many were caught but it was a weekend to remember. The biggest of the day was just under 5lbs. They all came out of thick weed mat, slop and open hole pockets surrounded by milfoil. Here's a few picks of some of them. admin edit note - I resized the pics down to 800x so they will work easier on smaller monitors and slower connections. Link to the original is above each photo. 10. Well this weekend is the official opening of Bass season for us. I will be going to our Caravan as you call it in England that is on the water's edged and I will be fishing for bass all weekend. I can't wait for the season to begin and get the tournaments started.
  11. When we use them over here I also did not have great success with them, but the weedles ones did work on occassion for the odd big bass and the occassional blow up from a muskie. Not one that I use anymore.
  12. Here are a couple from the last big Fishing Classic last year. We came second overall. and won team of the year for 2005.
  13. Hello I just thought I would introduce myself. I am new to this board and live in Canada. My wife is from England and her mother and nana still live there (Peterborough Area). I am interested in your fishing species and techniques. I myself am an avid bass tournament angler with many accomplishments and wins to my credit. I am sponsored by Shimano Canada, Optima Batteries USA, Phenix Tournament Tackle Canada, and also Fins Line USA. I have been fishing competitively for a few years and love the sport of fishing. Carp is becoming very popular over here as well. Just thought I would join this board to share information and also if we ever get over there to holiday maybe I can get out fishing and learn some new techniques. The board looks great and will try to help post anywhere I can but more than likely I will just read and try to learn as much as I can. If anyone needs any info on North American fishing I will do my best to help. Blake
