  1. Just tried my Acupuncture for the first time.Three needles in my spine and one right next to my penis(now that realy hurt especially when he twanged it!!!!) It has relieved the pain slightly but it has left the area where the needle whent into next to my penis very sore an d bruize can be seen (is that supposed to happen?) Whats now worse is the fact that i had a massive panic attack and have been given venlafaxine and Zispin to now take aswell as the painkillers for the back "oh dear what is going on" My GP says "dont worry they are for Anxiety and panic attacks in six months time you will look back and laugh at all this!!! I hope he is right.
  2. I would like to thank you all for your replies and suggestions and sorry about the swearing but you lot will no how painful it gets and when it gets in "That area" its just too much. Believeit or not the worst position for me is the one we are all told to sit in and thats with a straight back as all the weight is on the lower discs where in my case is where the problem is. I watch TV on my side and am typing this to you in the same position. Again i thank you all especially as i dont know any of you personally but if we do meet one day i will be the one in the swim playing the fish on a lilo bed
  3. IF we had stayed on all fours we would have been alright.I have put up with sciatica all my life and like poldark i am totaly paralised unable to stand and loose complete control of my left leg for weeks on end then it slowlt eases away and its not to bad for a month. But Hell!! that was to easy wasn't , now i have been graced with testicle pain too(see earlier posts i made when i was told it was an infection, back in may) Nurse judy you might remember , well after spending 6 weeks in hospital and endless scans a MRI scan showed damage to 3 discs. So there you have it "****" pain for "life" now with paralysed left leg and massive pain in back and ******** !! So i am now prepared to try "ANYTHING" to get rid of it. Apparently i have been told by a horse racing trainer that it is quite common for horses to get testacle pain which is deferred pain from there backs, they no when a horse has this as it runs in circles kicking wildly so the treatment is to freeze block the nerve(i.e epidural), if this does not work they do the decent thing and shoot it to put it out of its pain! Lucky Bastards!
  4. Anyone tried it?Is it expensive?DId it work for you? Thinking of trying it for my back as the pain is now so severe that the pain killers are beginning not to work. I am even booked in to be hypnotised next month to see if that will work? I have tried Osteopaths but days later it returns and he has suggested Acupunture. My GP has suggested a epidural. Anyone with Sciatica problems here that can suggest anything, the problem is getting so severe that its causing at times deferred pain to the legs and testicles!! I will now try anything to ease the pain, it has now even stopped me fishing!!
  5. In many genuine cases a profession is never worked out as the mind is cut up and is full of different images and occasions that it is extremely hard to find out what the profession was.On many occasions they will re-live a scene like an old naval battle and cry out in pain as they were hit by a broadside as the splinters entered into them only to find that they had watched "Battle of Trafalger" 5 days before . The "Highwayman" is another common one they start to suffer and find they cannott breath as the noose starts to tighten around there neck. But i think there are genuine ones out there and only you know yourself whether you are genuine because if you are not perhaps you do need help in another way
  6. I recently met up with some friends on holiday who own a house in Ludham and although they are not fisherman/women (hoping to change that) they say that if you walk over a field at the back of there house you reach a wide sweeping section of the Thurne.Apparently its on a wide bend of the river which gets fished by Match anglers and my friend has found out that its 30pence a day ticket water from her local store. We are going up there in a couple of weeks to see them and i am licking my lips in anticipation of some good fishing. Does anybody no where i am talking about?I thought i would use this thread as a long shot! Any tips would be greatfully recieved. BTW/ Great Perch!! what a Whopper!! Well done can't wait for the piccy!!
  7. Thats up to you "little onions", after my wife was hypnotised i have been looking into the phenomenon of it all and find it interesting and sometimes amusing. If you wish to send it then please do and you have my promise as a "Gentleman" that the "Nasty and wicked" Chesters and Mr Roper will here nothing of it. If you dont then no offense taken
  8. I am sure there is somebody down that way who can give you more information but i believe its Christchurch AC you are after they i believe own parts of the Avon and Stour but i have not got the number. The other club in that area is Ringwood AC , i think there was a recent article on these in the Anglers Mail a couple of weeks back if you can find an old copy.
  9. Watched this programme on cable yesterday(name escapes me) with Matt Hayes cycling down part of the Ouse river whilst wetting his line now and again. Now i dont know whether this is a 100th repeat or new series but i quite enjoyed it Matt-Well Done!
  10. Previous lives!! This sounds fascinating will you tell us more
  11. No Steve she doesn't its a shame though
  12. Do you know anybody who has been Hypnotised do you believe in it? I did not until last year when my wife was hypnotised, she was under for at least 2 hours infront of a large audience. One of the strangest things she did was to talk clear and fluent Japanese of which for the following 2 weeks (we were on holiday in spain) i was constantly asked if she had ever learnt it, she offcoarse hadn't. After the usual cutting down of contestants from about 30 to 3 on stage i knew then she was well under. One of the funniest moments was when all three were told that the mother-in-law was walking on the other side of the road and they were asked to wave to her, one contestant waved happily the other waved reluctantly and my wife stuck two fingers up! (the strange thing is they get on realy well they realy do  ) it brought the house down my daughter(13) "oh god" i am embarrassed my 16 old son was on the floor in fits of laughter and i guess i was too! At the end they were told that they will wake up and go back to there families but when this music played(James Bond Theme Tune)they would get up and dive between the tables with make believe guns, well my wife came back to our table and i said are you OK yes she said how long have i been asleep and then the music played and off she went around all the tables and me and my son hit the floor again in fits What i find scary now is that my wife gets her 4 and 5's the wrong way round on 50% of the time and it has been happening ever since she was hypnotised  She said i will never do it again it was too much and too scary! What i failed to say was that i was one of the ones who were originally picked to go in the audience at the start and was very close to going under i felt myself "dropping off" but opened my eyes at the last moment and thought "NO way" and was told to sit back in the audience. What powers these guys must have, very scary indeed.
  13. I used to own a kiosk on Bus/train interchange station and my wife and I saw so many adult customers with Harry Potter books in their hands, I suggested to my wife that she bought the first in the series being as we both enjoy reading. That was it, within a couple of weeks we had bought and read all four that were in publication. Obviously Harry Potter isn't for everyone, but just as obviously he does appeal to a wide section of the population - which must make JK very happy As you say, good luck to her, she has created a lot of magic for her readers and the way she has been rewarded must appear to be almost magical to her. [/QB] Did you see the faces of those children on the "Idiots lantern" the other night as they were waiting to pick up the latest episode, there faces where full of exitement and joy and anticipation.Great stuff i thought
  14. Ricky, I can only go on what i have heard as its one of the few waters i have not fished in the south east but have heard from a few anglers who have and they say that there are some large Carp in there and some good Tench .I know it gets fished quite a bit as there are some local companies (British Airways at Gatwick close by) that have club membership there aswell as it being a public ticket water. Try some local tackle shops i can think of one but am not sure whether i am alowed to plug them on here but i am sure tou know a few anyway. Sorry i could not be more help. Btw/ I would be interested to see how you get on as its one of those waters that i have always seemed to have missed. More info please
  15. Just good writing, an entertaining story, pure escapism and fun! Harry Potter might have been intended for kids originally, but when you look at the numbers of books sold, it is quite obvious that people of all age groups are buying them. While my wife didn't queue to get our copy of the latest Harry Potter book on Saturday, she bought it well before mid-day. I hope that I am never too old to enjoy writing that is so entertaining, no matter who it is written for. Well its been explained to me by my Daughter, wife,Mother, boss, next door neighbour, man from over the road at number 20 and a bus driver on a number 367, so i have promised my daughter i will start to read them.I guess its just that Fantasy books just are not me(well not those kind anyway ) although i have read "Lord of the Rings" and could not leave it alone  ) What a great success story its been for J.K Rowling though, a real "Rags to Riches" story and long may she continue!
